[Pickle surprise]

Oh I do like a good tier list, nice thread idea! Since 3D platformers are my favourite genre I thought i would do a tier list ranking all the ones I played. Now the list I used is crazy extensive with over 500 titles so what I have played and ranked is a very small slice of what is on this tier list. Also it is pretty liberal in what it defines as a 3D platformer so if it contains jumping in a 3D environment in a major way it is included. That is why odd ducks like the Portal games and Super Paper Mario are included. Anyways, that is enough blabbing. Here is my tier list. They might be some controversial picks here, particularly the bottom tiers but that is how I honestly felt while playing these titles.

It really is very fun!! it was probably my personally goty of 2022. Obviously i know there are better games, but i love the references, the soundtrack and the commitment of the developer to keep adding stuff to unlock and play. Also the Castlevania DLC is like a whole game to unlock. Really fun times with that game.

Is probably the last one i will do for a while because making it was actually exhausting xD. I recorded the whole process and streamed via twitch soo i could make a video with some highlights of why i like X pokemon or why i dislike Monkeys soo much, but i will leave it there :3

Yeah that is definitely not a placement a lot will agree with but the flaws of that game were just too big for me to ignore. Got too frustrated with it in the end, wanted to like it but there you go. Oh and thanks for the kind words, the Pokemon tier list is a pretty ambitious one to tackle and good to see those horrible elemental monkeys at the bottom where they deserve!

It's not exactly a tierlist, but here's a gigantic list I made this fall of 50 games I love.
It's not in any particular order, and it can be for wildly different reasons, aside from the fact that my top 3 favourite games are Ico, Rayman 2 and Jet Set Radio.

Here's my most recent for Final Fantasy, since it's probably my favourite series.

(My real hot take is that no mainline FF is an outright bad game. I'll probably warm to 16 as well in due time)

Pretty kino, as someone who's getting into Falcom games, I only played the original Ys games and... Ys Origins lol. I didn't know Gurumin was made by Falcom! Great funny pseudo dungeon crawler (yes that's a thing) defo a recommendation. Will use this in the future as reference, thank you!

• With a short time of presence, that queen present herself in a super intimidating, misterious and ambiguous character. But noooo, let's make her transform into le epic evil queen, because we don't have enough of these magical transformations in the series, right?
• Nahyuta is the most insufferable annoying piece of shit to ever exist on Ace Attorney. He doesn't suffer enough imo. But no problem, just shoehorn a redeeming backstory and call it even, amirite? Like we didn't had enough of these too?
• A whole country going into a revolution, in a Ace Attorney game?! This allows for all sorts of interesting scenarios and dilemmas! In tough times like these, when violence is the one option against an opposing system, what is the actual definition of Justice? But nooooo! None of the good guys ever harmed anybody! Gotta pull that morally pure card!
• How come the Holy Mother is never summoned? Where is that immense power that could be granted? 6-5-1 was not only really cool but felt like an straight up ducktales episode, you're gonna tell me all that build-up was for nothing? Is magic In Ace Attorney suddenly mysticism now?
• Shitty breakdown. Doesn't hold a candle to Bobby Fullbright.

On the other hand I don't understand why so many people dislike 5-5. It is an exaggerated case full of shock value, but it's also very well delivered and paced. Personally I love it.

Garan is the worst final culprit in the series, even considering Alba, and while I didn't HATE Nahyuta, he was vastly underwritten. Honestly, it is like 60% held up by how great and hard-hitting the twist with Dhurke was. Also, I do like 5-5, and DD in general, but the writing has its fair share of flaws. If Revolution didn't have that twist, it would probably be on par with 5-5.

I'd say my only disagreements is i'd put generations console/pc in S and sonic 4 ep 2 in B tier, maybe A if i'm feeling generous.

Super sloppily thrown together Character Action/3d Hack and Slash Tierlist. Probably forgot a ton of stuff, this is just off the top of my head. Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2 placement refers to all versions.
