Games you replayed a hundred times?

I can't stop myself from playing rhythm games front-to-back, if it's level-based. Stuff like Gitaroo Man, Space Channel 5. Parappa or Um Jammer Lammy.

I'll be itching to play a certain stage and go through the entire game because by then I've gotten fired up and I'm just enjoying myself too much.

I pretty much play Crash 1-3 once per year. Original versions, not the rounded-hit box N-sane trilogy (adding relics to 1+2 killed me).

Also have a similar deal with Vanilla Sonic 2/Sonic 2 + Knuckles but that takes less than an hour on a good day.

Pretty much all of the PS1 RE games, Silent Hill 1 and 2, the first 3 Tomb Raider games, Dino Crisis 1, Tenchu 2, not counting fighters because I play them all the time.

Parasite Eve
Tales Of the Abyss
Tales Of Eternia
Shadow Hearts 1-3
Wild Arms 5
Shin Megami Tensei IV
Devil Survivor
Xenosaga Episode III
Dragon Quest VI
I have replayed those games more times that I can remember

Rayman 2
Thanks to emulation, I've replayed all the major ports. Even decided to play them back to back.

PSX is the most barebones, abriged version, only recommend playing the 2D prototype game, via romhack.

PC version is the one I grew up with.

Dreamcast version is like an improved PC/N64 version, it has an additional cutscene near the end, but the level select screen tries too hard to be like Crash Bandicoot.

PS2 version is needlessly overbloated, I like the improvements, like additional cutscenes, levels, bosses.
But at the same time, there are shortcomings, like too many combat sections, minigames, pointless backtracking, the hub world, upgrade system.

Overall, the Dreamcast version is my go-to.

For me it's Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles for the PSP and Rondo Of Blood for PCE.
I usually play through it once every few days.::alucard

I played Castlevania Aria of Sorrow 4 or 5 times in the last couple of years and I will probably play it again this year.

Morrowind and Doom are the only two games i've returned to time and time again throughout my life. i don't think i've 'finished' them any time recently, as in cant member when i last played a save through to mainquest completion or played a single file past like knee deep in the dead. but every time i return to them there has been significant periods of change within their communities such that it is a new distinct experience per each time i've returned.

ship of theseusing my own experience of the two games lul

harvest moon friends of mineral town
tomba 2
dragons dogma
ragnarok online

What's that game you replay again every once in a while?
I think for me it's SOTN and Metal Gear Solid.

I never adapted very well to modern MGS games, I love the simplicity of it.
SOTN is just fun to try weird things to do. It's the first game I move to every new device.
Aria of sorrow 4 times

idk if it was my emulator but I played parappa years ago and the timing felt so off I could barely play. It's a shame because it's a pretty cool looking game

For me, it's deus ex human revolution. The original, not the director's cut. No other game has that same feeling in my opinion. It's a great cyberpunk setting on par with blade runner and ghost in the shell. The environments have so much care put into them to make them feel like real places.
The main draw is the gameplay, it's genuinely pretty challenging to play it properly but it's a really fun stealth game with the perfect mix of rpg elements.

GTA San Andreas. A classic that I will never let go even if I die.

We Love Katamari. Just did my third playthrough of the remaster in January lol. Might be my GOAT game

MGS 1, and -

DONT JUDGE ME:

Tomba, that game is such a trip even now. For the lonest time it was my go to stuck at home with the flu game.

SOTN.
Parasite eve. (holiday tradition).
3rd birthday. (I know, but I like it).

For a while there I was replaying the first part of Custom Robo (the grand battle or whatever the hell they call it never really held me save for the ability to grab illegal parts) like every year or two. Still among my fav games.

I do replay the first episode of Doom 1 a lot too. Like, once you kill the two barons and realize you're in hell I stop playing through.

It must be Sakurataisen

I've played the whole battle network series an unhealthy and absurd number of times for any human or program to have done. I am currently doing 3 simultaneous replays of BN2 on 3 consoles as we speak. I am not kidding or exaggerating, I played all 3 saves in the last day.

Persona 3 Portable, Pokemon games from GBA and DS, Digimon World Dusk, Mana Khemia
I mainly use a phone with emulators since it's not everytime I have access to pc, so these games are always there on my phone and they happen to be my favorites, I go back to them from time to time.
