Games you replayed a hundred times?

Batman (Nes), Kung Fu Master (Nes or Arcade), Super Castlevania (SNES), Outrun 2 (XBOX-PS2), Synphonie of the Night (PS1), Sega Rally (Sega Saturn), TMNT Turtle in Time (SNES), Street of Rage 2 (Mega Drive - Genesis), Parodius (Sega Saturn) , Thunder Force 2-3 (Mega Drive - Genesis), All Street Fighter (Sega Saturn), All King of Fighter (Sega Saturn-Dreamcast), SoulCalibur 1-2 (Dreamcast-GameCube), Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts (SNES) and more :D

  • Sotn - I do casual speedruns on this game. Alucard Any% and rando.
  • Resident evil 3 (original, PC) - Not too active in this game anymore. I had to stop doing competitive runs in this game because of health issues. All bosses and rando.
  • Einhander - fun 3d shmup.
  • Dodonpachi - fun 2d shmup.
  • Project zomboid - Sims 1 with zombies.
  • Ys 8 - Nihon Falcom's masterpiece.
  • Armored core 4 answer - new wacky build every run.
  • Front mission 3 - fun turn based game with a memorable cast.
  • Threads of fate - reminds me of the good old days...
  • Sims 2 - makes me live my dream...
  • Rogue galaxy - fun rpg.
  • Wangan midnight maximum tune series (arcade) - Addicting. Play at your own risk. Very expensive.

recently started playing Final Fantasy 9 for billionth time again except I'm using the memoria graphical mods and my god

Ys Seven-Played it on easy mode to nightmare
I'd love to see a Switch port.

  • SRB2: Wanted to learn how to speedrun the game while using some eeevil mods, but gave up once I hit the eventual skill wall lol
  • This Wolfenstein 3D mod: Damn good, short and sweet, and despite wolf3d letting you savescum, I liked to play without saves and essentially treated it like an arcade game.
  • QUAKE: Used to play illegal, evil LAN parties in highschool, lots of good memories, then became addicted to Arcane Dimensions, oops.
  • Project M and its derivatives: Me and my cousins have been playing Smash together ever since we were able to emulate games in our computes, then I got a Wii and we tried Project M, then Project+, then eventually we got computers good enough to emulate Wii games and went crazy with PMEX DX Remix or whatever tf its called lol. We still play to this day.
  • Metroid Prime 1: Same as SRB2, except instead of mods it was PrimeHack and its hacks.

Finally, I made this list with the games that are not necessarily my favorite games (some of them are tho), but games I'm very sure I have literally played hundreds of times. Technically most if not all games I'll play for now on should be played hundreds of times since I plan to go hardcore with games, and for that you need to practice a lot, and that implies a lot of replaying. Thats pretty much it
Great selection there, Robo Blast 2 is a quality game. Same with Quake and PM.

Someday I'll try Project +

On the other hand Quake is a game I discovered late but I still love it. Quake II a bit less though.

Have you tried Operation Serpent for Wolf3D?

Einhander, Xenogears, Duke Nukem: Time to Kill, Wild ARMs, Gex, Gex: Enter the Gecko, Tomba! 2: The Evil Swine Return, Rocket Knight Adventures, Super Mario Land, nearly all of the Zelda games up to the N64, Starfox, Kirby's Dreamland (PB: 21-ish Minutes), Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, Castlevania: Aria & Dawn of Sorrow, Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, DMC 1-3, Gungrave: Overdose, Monster Rancher 2...like, I have a massive list of "I need to play this at least once or twice this year" games.

...and an even larger list of "Games the Archivist still needs to play and review, that absolute donut."

Fighting games, Street Fighter 2 (the World Warrior edition hehe) 3rd strike and Capcom vs Snk on Dreamcast (that menu music).
On the PSX I eventually have to go back to Driver 1 and 2, "the dream of the open world" and the liminality of those maps, there is something mystical.
And many DC games at christmas (crazy taxi, sega rally, sonic adv, house of the dead 2, dynamite deka), but I guess that's in the christmas games post.

There's a few, but what comes to mind right away is Gungrave. It's VERY short, if you know what you're doing you can beat it in under an hour. But it's just so fun you can't help but come back, either to forget about whatever and have fun sending people flying or to improve and get the best rank.

I think I beat it in 30 minutes on a second run. If I recall correctly, they purposely designed the game to be simple so that salarymen could easily play it after they come home drunk. It's like Nascar: it's easy to follow when you're hammered. (Who here gets the reference?)

Diablo. The OG. Yeah, I know that most people prefer the sequel and don't get me wrong it's a great game (I've been playing it lately with the Median XL mod) but it just doesn't have the same dark gothic vibe the original has. Some call it slow and clunky, I call it precise and methodicalijh

I know absolutely what you mean, i have the Game since i am a Kid, but i first played through it when it came to Gog.

As mentioned by Spike, sometimes it is the Simplicity that makes it stand out
The Atmosphere is incredible, compared to the Sequels, you are also actually afraid to die, as the Possibility is much higher.
It also very nicely done, from killing some minor Evils in the Cathedral it becomes more and more insane as you come closer to Hell.

DevilutionX makes it also very comfortable to play, you can throw your Save Game to your Mobile Phone and many other different Devices and proceed playing, it plays incredible well with a Controller.

The Game has become something i play constantly, with bigger Breaks inbetween.

Diablo 2 and even more so the Sequels are hectic, meanwhile in the first you proceed more carefully.

And don't get me wrong, i really like Diablo 2.

But to get other Games i replay often:

Turtles in Time, it is just so upbeat, at least once a Year i complete it.

Monkey Island is also a Game i somehow did beat nearly once a Year.

Doom is something i can play several Times a Year, Doomworld also delivers an unlimited Supply of new Maps.
Personally i like Doom 1 with its Level Screen and Episodes more than 2, the second one is also very brown.

Because of Gog, i played this Year the first Time through Resident Evil, three Times.
I am sure this will become a Game i replay every Couple of Years.
And yes, there is something about the bad Acting and Simplicity of the first.
I also played through the second and third.

Parodius (SNES) also the Music that is so fun and the colorful Levels.
The only Shoot em up i am good in and i ever played through, but ok, like Turtles in Time i am playing it since the 90s.
The Sequels are too busy for me.

Super Mario Kart, love the Music.

Metal Gear Solid
Super Mario World
Simcity 2000
Starcraft
Tomb Raider 1 & 2

There are other Candidates that still have to stand the Test of Time, as Streets of Rage, Sonic 3D Blast and Daggerfall.

Hmm mentioning the last, Morrosind and Skyrim are also such Candidates, as i never really stopped playing them, i only have bigger Pauses ^^

Let me say these games right here I almost play these two titles at least once or twice a year or almost a month thats how much I love these games right here plus these games got me through some times during childhood and my high school years. One through the Nintendo 64 the other through the metal slug collection on the psp which I played many times to death.

Seriously Metal Slug 1 is a banger of a game from the replay value to the sprite work I can reach the second stage without dying on level 8 on the neo geo yes I play metal slug on the hardest diffculty because thats the way to play these games along with turning on the blood as well.
