my first star fox game. i played this because i was in the mood for one of those 3d run and guns that revolve around ranged weapons but don't use much fps influence. while i feel like the story probably would've hit better for me if i had played any of the other games beforehand, i did enjoy my time with the game. also the 1st phase final boss arena was one of the coolest boss arenas i've ever seen, even if the boss itself i didn't really care for. about half the enviroments looked really good in general (corneria is kinda ugly though.) also, i wish there were more on foot bosses, the only one i can think of right now is that big thing in the desert, and even then that was kinda lame and more of a tank fight.
Ace Combat 7 (took a long break from it but I finally beat it)
Mega Man 7 and 8
Mega Man and Bass
Threads of Fate (replay)
Kirby's Dream Land 2
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (replay)
Nier Replicant
Only 3 so far, but all three are long games:
The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Daybreak
The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Daybreak 2
The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond the Horizon (well, I will in about an hour...)
Don't get the hate for these games. I greatly enjoyed them. I'm just glad they DIDN'T spread the Daybreak games over 4 titles like Falcom did with the Cold Steel games. I've been playing these games back-to-back for the first time since 2023 or 2024...I had to stop after Cold Steel 3 due to Trails burn-out. The game I played to wash the tastes of Cold Steel out of my mouth, Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten, I blew through in about a week.
Fun game.
Great Panty Shots.

Well, it took a bit more than an hour to beat The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond the Horizon. And...yep. That was a mind screw ending, alright. Foreshadowed up the wazoo save for a few points, and I had guessed much the rest beforehand. Save, you know, that statue of all things.

the no strafing run was definitely an interesting challenge, if you've played these games before and want more out of them i'd reccommend trying it

man, this one could've been so good. the music is obviously fantastic, and the often dreamlike environments are great, but the obnoxious dungeon and puzzle design (especially soaring tower upper) really holds it back. the combat is fairly interesting and has a lot of potential, but most of the bosses are kinda bad. there are 2 bosses though, dementia and trandin, that really show how good this game's combat could've been, as well as another 2 that really emphasize good footsies and are also decent to good despite being much simpler.
i'm glad i played it, and i'm definitely checking out the sequel eventually, but i don't think i'll be replaying this one other than to fight one of those two bosses, and i can't reccommend it to anyone who doesn't love this game's vibe or is interested in from software.
A disappointing list this year LOL but nothing much has come out that I’m interested in. I’m on chapter 7 of Crimson Desert so I’m just over half way through the main story and then I’ll be waiting for Black Flag.

great visual aesthetic, especially in the cool cyberpunk environments, and while i found most of the story kinda insufferable, there was something to like there from the point
celvice gets shot
. the gameplay itself was incredibly flawed in ways i'm sure most people already know, but i like the visual style enough that i'm still gonna play 2 some time, especially since i've heard it's a big step up from this one.
also i'm pretty sure this is the first kojima game and first non-ac mecha game i've beaten. i'm probably a rarity in that first regard lol
Well folks, i craked the case, and also renewed Pops Clock faith in Bonkers(The Retooned hack, which btw is the best version to play it thanks to the dash upgrade system).
Recently finished Wario Land. Got the second best ending with the Castle, which is fine by me since its clearly the canon ending if 2 is any indication.
Lamment of Innocence is another one i recently beat, tho i still have the Joachim and Pumpkin modes to beat.
Burnout 3 was a game i started last year and took my sweet time with it. Now it's my favorite Ps2 game, and now i have all the Gold Medals. It's not 100% but since the credits rolled out once i achieved this i consider it a wrap.
Re:Coded: Goated Combat, but the system sector mechanic was a chore. Plus the story is a nothing burger.
Next up: Assasin's Creed IV: Black Flag. Wanted to beat it back in february, but my summer vacation got in the way (family trips and all that) now i got no excuse.

i've played the trilogy a while ago, but never gotten far in 3. so i'm going to rectify that by replaying the entire trilogy as i was inspired by tactical bacon productions' recent video on sly 4 (great vid btw)
i enjoyed the environments and music more on this playthrough than my previous one, though i still feel like this game has some of the worst mandatory minigames of any game i've ever played. the only thing that rivals it in this regard is secret agent clank. it still really made me want to keep playing, and i would consider it a good game.
Also not too long ago i beat Banjo-Kazooie thanks to the PC port.
An absolute classic, turns out Xitter contrarians are just retards, this game was amazing. Can't decide to wait on a possible Banjo-Tooie PC port or simply play it emulated.

Everything Rare did was amazing in some way or form, and Banjo is one of those cases were they just blew up everyone's minds in the N64, also on the topic of Banjo-Tooie, emulated is fine, but the PC recompilation can't be that far considering the people behind the PC port tend to work fast on these due to experience, also talking about Rare...
The Kremlin King has been beaten, but i suspect he will be back for more, this was my first time with the Kong games, and honestly it was amazing in many ways i didn't expect, the music, the levels, the style, i liked how kong can go full boulder on enemies in a line, makes beating them more satisfactory, also, the water level theme and the factory theme are 100% vibes.
