This will digress in a different topic but while I like Rush a lot I feel like having to do the game twice is a bit cheap. They did the same with the Advance games...
Sonic Heroes is one of those games that can be fun, but a lot of the time you have to really baby the engine so the game doesn't completely fall apart on you. Especially if you want to go for A Ranks, you need to know where scripting can break (entering corkscrews a certain way, some of the vines in Lost Jungle just completely locking your controls if you're in a certain formation, etc).
The phrase "Sonic Heroes is a very well-made game" was a phrase that ended up being said a lot whenever I'd somehow miss rails, glitch through the floors, and go so fast that I somehow slip off platforms. Sometimes it felt like it was held together with cheap duct tape and Elmer's glue.
main list:
1. ape escape
2. tekken 4 (a whole bunch of characters but all on easy mode)
3. super mario 3d land (all star coin levels, no golden raccoon)
4. ratchet and clank (2002) (replay)
5. frog vs giant robot girl
6. ratchet and clank 2: going commando (replay)
7. jak and daxter
8. crash bandicoot 2: cortex strikes back
9. armored core last raven (replay, 1/6 endings)
optional list:
1. civilization v (replay)
2. civilization vi
i'm counting games that only borderline count in an optional list and leave it up to binarymessiah whether or not to include them
It's a fine game. It's a lot fun early on, but it did get frustrating towards the end mostly due to timed levels. (I hate having a time limit on levels)
Honestly, if 2 and 3 are as fun as the first few levels of 1 are, then I think I'll really like them.

Wish the trilogy got a remaster without the screen crunch.
Advance 1 is the closest to Classic Sonic we got in a while and I feel like Advance 2 was too much based on speed than platforming and Advance 3 had a faulty level design.
Also nothing in the game tells you about the tricks with the R shoulder button which is an issue too.
Clancy had it coming, last year i finished all the NES games, so i thought to give the SNES trilogy a try, while the ost is perfect on nes, i think some tracks really shone with the SNES music chip, the best example "Chaosius Sword", the intro of 2-Dark Sword of Chaos, it was great in nes, but DAMN it was a pleasure on SNES.
Also i finished Front Mission: Gun Hazard, easily recommended, it's an amazing game from start to finish, also remember to visit Sidney, you will not be dissapointed
1. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (Sega Mega Drive/Genesis Emulator) - 4,5/10
It's really crazy how different this game is on each platform, in virtually every respect, including difficulty level. I decided to play this game on every platform it was released on. This version is easiest. 2. Star Wars Outlaws Gold Edition (Switch 2) - 7/10
Overall, the game is good after the patches. If it had been like this at launch, it would have been better received, although there is also a lot of untapped potential, especially in the side quests, which are usually mediocre. And then there's the fan service, which is also mostly just for the sake of it. Only Lando, who appears in the DLC, Jabba, and Bib Fortuna play a bigger role.
Qi'ra, Temmin Wexley, Darth Vader and Boba Fett also appear, but in my opinion, they are completely underutilized. This is especially true with Boba Fett, whom we only see and hear once when sneaking into Jabba's palace while in the ventilation duct. 3. Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley (Switch) - 5,5/10
A game with beautiful graphics, but short, taking only 4 hours to complete, and for a game titled “Melody of Moominvalley ,” there isn't much music in it. 4. Donkey Kong Bananza (Switch 2) - 9/10
Game is great, but I really felt that the last few floors were just prolonging the story unnecessarily. 5. Chinese Parents (Switch) - 6/10
This game is about being a child in China, and it doesn't really end; our first child becomes a parent to the next one, and so on, from generation to generation. You can play for the first 10 generations, but then it gets boring because you've seen practically everything the game has to offer.

it was okay. my opinion might've been lessened due to the fact that i played it over months and because my machine could barely run it on very low settings, but that latter problem also caused one of the boss fights to run at such a low framerate that it made it more fun.
also the first 2 phases of the final boss were kind of lame.
...huh.
Yeah, this was one of the Metroid of all times alright.
I kinda lost motivation with other missing Prime game ngl (Corruption and...god, Federation Force . But I'm fine for Pinball). Beside those I beat every Metroid game released.
Ok, you know what? It's a redeemable game with good and fun ideas. I didn't *completely* disliked Sol Valley, beside two items that are completely counter-intuitive to get. The fact that Tokabi needs to be there to get some of them is definitely a game design choice.
...you know what? The whole game (especially towards the end) is just a full game design choice. But what I hated the most is the backtracking for the chip weapons to get it upgraded from MacKenzie.
Seriously, an excuse to the Fury Green base would have fixed this aggravating problem since you need to return to the damn place multiple times, especially for the green crystals.
I actually got hyped in a final boss phase:
When Sylux turned into his Morph Ball form during one of his attack I kinda fanboyed over it. Glad that Hunters wasn't completely forgotten...since there's barely any mentioning from it anyways.
Positive sides? The Ice Belt was awesome, Flare Pool was also really cool. And the feeling of getting a weapon and use it still feels as nice as you would expect. But it's very poorly designed and weirdly paced.
Don't worry: it's no Federation Force or Other M. Still worth to play, but definitely after you beat at least Prime 1.
If Other M was the FF XIII of Metroid, Prime 4 is definitely the FF XV one.
Just beat Resident Evil Requiem last night. Got to see both endings. Ok...
Have to go through it again to see if I can get infinite ammo? Shit.... Alright then, just to have the satisfaction of killing everything and getting even, guess I'll slog along and do it again.... God Damn it.....
I'm mainly only focusing on Breath of Fire 3 (a 9/10 game from what I've played...probably to exaggerate since the random encounter is the only bad thing I can think of, everything else is so charming and awesome to play), but for MAR10 day Nintendo did updated their Nintendo Classics. And what better way to do that by releasing the only two Mario games for VB and og Mario vs DK for GBA?
The boxart and the 3D effects you see in the intro, with some background details and the special ending are the only real cool thing. I guess also the cast of characters feels nostalgic, being basically the same of Super Mario Kart except Bowser.
This game plays like garbage. Especially just hitting the tennis ball feels like a success. And the real trick to beat the hardest CPUs is to lure them closer to illude them for a smash for then lob it over their head. Works every single time, but it's not easy as it sounds considering how ass the controls feels. The controls. And this is a Mario game made by R&D1.
If you wanna reach the credit and get the special ending remember to press L, L, R, L, R and Select. Then play the tournament in hard with whatever character you want. You only need to win 3 matches but they're gonna be very intense and frustrating.
You'd probably have more fun with Tennis on NES than this. Pointless to say that Mario Tennis 64 and Mario Power Tennis for GC are the real deal and way to go.
