After 30+ years of gaming I've kinda flipped the script. Instead of playing other people's stuff I started making my own. Nothing crazy — just a little dungeon crawler called crypt I finished recently, up on my site CRTPlay. Feels weird to be on the other side of it honestly. Way harder than it looks but man, more rewarding too 😅

Recently I've been writing down a list of games finished so far, amazing how many games I put aside while wasting time on MMOs and other online ones ^^

Now I'm at the end of Final Fantasy Tactics (yeah, I know...). Maybe my next will be one of the Xeno Series or a DnD variant. I accept suggestions too

If you haven't played Disgaea, you really should. It's like Final Fantasy Tactics on steroids. Everything is so over-the-top it makes the Strategy RPG formula a lot more gratifying than it usually is. Easily my favorite SRPG. The rerelease on PSP called Afternoon of Darkness has bonus content not available in the original (like an alternate storyline where you play as a different character) but they lost the licenses to some of the music so the soundtrack is altered, and also one of the main characters has a different voice actress because they couldn't get the original one back to voice the bonus content. There's also a modern release called Disgaea PC which has the bonus content but is still missing the music. Only the original, Hour of Darkness, has all the music.

I'm currently playing Final Fantasy VII Rebirth when the current summer season isn't too crippling for my PC to play, and the original FFVII on Duckstation with the Shinra Archaeology Translation patch because it offers to be more aligned to the Japanese script. It's fun to really immerse myself in the world of FFVII like this again, it feels like a homecoming. Really loving the original and how the remake trilogy aims to change things.

I'm playing Patapon 2 but have reached a point where there are too many effects on the screen which causes slight stuttering and makes my timing off, making it unplayable. I decide to put it on hold until I have better hardware.

Now I play LocoRoco, which has been on my hdd for a while and I decide to finish it now, partly to soothe my frustration because of the patapon 2 problem.

I'm playing A Space for the Unbound and Final Fantasy VII Remake (Intergrade), now that Rebirth has finally gone on sale and I managed to buy it.
