@Michael Frank, I finally got Turbo Overkill on sale before it ended! It is amazing! I am still early in, and loving this Apogee throwback shooter!

I did a few more successful rounds of Boss Rush Mode in Rushing Beat X. Something I noticed is that when beating the mode, it doesn't save your time after turning off the game. I think it's a glitch, and they should fix that. I beat this mode with pretty much almost all of the cast now.

Clearing out some of my backlog and one of the games happens to be Super Mario 3.
Wasnt feeling it. Whats next on my backlog is Metroid Prime 1 but honestly I've been having a really fun time with lumines.

Finally getting a bit better at the game. Especially after realizing, "hey, im not on a timer, why am i trying to rush everything?"

Since my classes ended this week I’ve played a bunch of Spore and plan on finishing some levels I haven’t gotten to yet on my current save in The Munchables. I plan on looking for a second hand external CD drive to play some old disk games laying around my house (maybe look at my old Spore worlds )

Going on a nostalgia run and playing Tak and The Power of Juju, I remember playing the trilogy on my PS2 as a kid ('00 born lol) and haven't revisited it in decades. The first game so far is...okay, it's not bad, but it's nothing really stand out about it so far? It's way too hand-holdy and I can't help but compare it to another childhood nostalgia game of mine, Battle for Bikini Bottom, which I felt did everything Tak did but 10x better

I played some more TB Overkill and completed the 4th stage. The weapons really start expanding, and I got the flamethrower upgrade for the minigun, and grenade upgrade for the sawed off shotgun.

Playing Super-Punch Out!!. Why do some people dislike this game again? Sure, the roster is not as interesting as the NES or neither arcade game, but combat is fun as hell, and I like you have a super meter exactly like the arcade games, instead of the Star System from NES or Wii (it does it the best though). It's a great game, and I love the rock n' roll soundtrack.

I decided to do one more run of RBX, and managed a 1CC with Rick Norton this time, and got a new high score on top. It was to make up for a run where I had a soft lock, and I didn't want to restart at that time. This was weeks ago though.

I am starting Pragmata tonight.

going back to illusion of time on my snes. i really want to advance and finish this one.

Currently working on Trails of Cold Steel III and Danganronpa - Trigger Happy Havoc.

I still need to finish up a Trails of Cold Steel NG+ run.

Game: Pokémon Crystal Clear

Platform: Game Boy Color (playing on an emulator)

Thoughts: Crystal Clear, a ROM hack of Pokémon Crystal, is a major step towards what I believe to be an ideal Pokémon game. This being my second full playthrough, I'm trying to mix things up between filling the Pokédex, becoming the region Champion, and completing all the side content. Without getting into the weeds of specific details, I'm enjoying my time so far with Seel as my starter.

Playing Xenogears for the ps1, absolutely blown away by how cool that intro was.
I also think it's neat how at the time Square had been releasing rpgs with 3d characters in a pre-rendered 2d world, and how this game contrasts that by having 2d characters in a 3d world.

I was playing Dragon Quest Builders 2 and just completed the Khrumbul-dun chapter, but then my wife started playing Chrono Cross, so I stopped to play it too.

I'm currently on the Ghost Ship, while she's farther along and just beat Fort Dragonia.

playing a lot of the record of lodoss war game for the sega dreamcast. big open-ended dungeon crawler hack and slash with some fun music and sound clips. incredible huge vacant world map design with footstep sounds that make it feel like the whole game is one big dungeon

My favorite Dreamcast game.

Chrono Cross (Disc 1) 2026-04-23-20-32-55.png

Just got Mojo in Chrono Cross.

Are you playing the recent ROM hack? I'm a few hours in and it's really convenient. I might actually beat it this time instead of getting trapped in the sewers.

I've been playing a bunch of Etrian Odyssey 3. I'm really nostalgic for it because the store I bought it from in 2011 (Geeks, etc.) is closed now which was a damn shame, especially in a hick town where the only other option is Gamestop. But I'm 10 minutes away from RadJunk now which I guess is something.

It's been on my backlog for 15 years now. I've started it several times over the years but always dropped it because I was either distracted or stuck. The remasters look like ass so I'm just playing my old copy. But I'm running a good build now and further in than ever before so I'm feeling good. 2011 was 15 years ago...

i can recommend a nice retro style shooting/dodging game called "StarTron" - it gets quite tough after a while
( i left the link below because its really hard to find footage of the game anywhere else )
