Playing through a bunch of castlevania games, specifically the pre-metroidvania ones (I think people call them classicvania?) Beat the original on NES and started castlevania 3.

Then promptly re-started it but this time the japanese release cause I found out about the alterations to it and more importantly the better music that version has. Honestly I'd push myself through the difficulty cheesegrater of the NA release if it had the JP version's soundtrack lol.

I'm playing Prodigal on PC, which is a zelda-like with GBC aesthetic, but with a more than decent story, a romance system and much better game than I thought. Pleasently susprised with this one.

I've been going through Monster Hunter Frontier. Freedom Unite and Generations Ultimate are my favorite Monhun games, and I finally found some people to play Frontier with, so I went for it.
I'm doing dual progression on Rain and Renewal chipping away at either server. Currently swapping between Gunlance (it's the only game in the *entire* series where Gunlance is even remotely good in G-rank) and Light Bowgun (which is better than HBG for once).

There's something immediately charming about Dos's engine getting control updates and just enough QoL.

Man I really wanted to play frontier, but i tried and my little laptop can't handle it without lagging like hell, maybe when i upgrade my pc... Love espinas in rise tho that's about all I know on frontier.

Tried playing freedom unite once but the material grind was quite tedious... If I play again would need to watch some videos while playing or something to pass the time.

Yeah gunlance's shelling being fixed damage sucks, it's all right on low rank but on g-rank the lv 3 damage can't keep up with the other weapons on every game.

Just about done with Chrono Cross while I also finished the story of Dragon Quest Builders 2 on Saturday.

Not sure if I should start on Suikoden or Legend of Dragoon once I finish Chrono Cross.

I recently watched the Super Mario Galaxy Movie! It was a little mid BUT it made me remember Star Fox! So I dusted off my 3DS and started replaying Star Fox 64 3D! ::heart

I used to be obsessed with Star Fox as a kid, so replaying it has been a fun ride! Especially since I never actually tried out the 3DS version. Now that I've defeated the hard route, I do feel like going back to the original and seeing how it compares!

Crimson Desert for PS5.

It’s a beautiful looking game and I’m enjoying it, the map is unbelievable, I’ve pumped many hours in to it and still have just a small portion of the map explored.

There aren’t many negatives but the few I have:

- controls can be terrible.
- you’re often left with little to no direction when it comes to figuring things out.

I am all for a challenge, I don’t want my hand held while I play but at the same time when you make me go somewhere and there is no indication of what to do….it becomes annoying to have to look it up and that also takes away from the game. For example, I was standing directly on an X so I knew I was where I was supposed to be yet there was absolutely nothing there but trees. I’m looking around and there’s no indication of what to do at all. I even started digging lmao I couldn’t see anything around.

I finally looked it up and even though the X is right where I’m standing, you actually have to run off a way to a mountain area nearby and there’s a giant tree walking around. You have absolutely no idea unless you look it up or just running around the area and eventually run in to the tree. If you follow the map, the X is just in the middle of a bunch of trees not even right where the big tree guy walks.

Mega Man IV Game Boy
The Mega Man World series are great but i think that the screen compresion makes them harder and thoughter to play than the NES games.
IV and V are the best two on the GB imo.

I've been playing DMC3 and dark stalkers
Also I'm very close to finish MMBN3

I agree the I is too hard, II and III are good but boring
How many Mega Man do you beaten? Not ironically i thought that you beat all Mega Man games.

Thanks, i forgot to mention Wily Wars too.
The multiverse of the Blue Bomber have his charm (and his jams too)

Dragon Quest II HD Remake, I love how the Quest part feels like a real quest and journey, even if the games are long. Almost done with it, getting the true ending. Enjoyed DQ3 HD, DQ1 HD and also DQ 2 HD. Interested in DQ 7 Reimagined as well.

Pete's Peak Showdown.png

Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse, finished Pete's Peak, holy fuck Capcom really put themselves in every thing they made back then, also, tip about this boss fight, that condor carries and egg to the fight every time, but thing is, the hook you get in this level (basically turns mickey's gameplay into Captain Commando) can pretty much grab anything, yeah you know where im going with this, fucking awesome man.

Right now, Octopath 0, which I'm loving much more than 1 and 2. In my opinion, a better story and superb gameplay.

Currently I am stuck between FFV and FFIV. Both for retroachievements. More stuck on Final Fantasy V because the achievement Im trying is a little difficult. Love the FF franchise though. Wanting to beat every version I can of every game.
