Oh my! And here I thought we were going to talk about how the Primes use the right stick to select your weapons rather, you know, the camera?Oh no no no, I should’ve clarified

I feel that System Shock's controls were bad even back then. For all the amazing things the good folk at Looking Glass Studios managed to do, making playable games sure wasn't one of them... or at least for people who expected to pick it up and play it.Again, I feel a lot of the bad controls I put up with (I.e. og System Shock.) due to Stockholm syndrome.
I would love to, but I’ve yet to play the prime games haha. Still doing my best to catch up with 30 years of Nintendo games xD.Oh my! And here I thought we were going to talk about how the Primes use the right stick to select your weapons rather, you know, the camera?
One of advantages of emulation is control remapping!...some games really make it impossible to enjoy them due to their bizarre or inconvenient control schemes.
Center upper? Oh you mean X on the SNES controller (aka Triangle on the PS one)?Oh no no no, I should’ve clarified. I was alluding to how Metroid would automatically map the shoot button to the center upper button, instead of the left face button (I’m not calling them by letters because it might confuse people cuz Xbox and Nintendo act in reverse of each other)
Thanks god the remaster allow a more modern control scheme (even if it makes you a bit op for precise shots).Oh my! And here I thought we were going to talk about how the Primes use the right stick to select your weapons rather, you know, the camera?
You too? Same, I disable that in Goldeneye each time.I specially can't handle fps games in which when looking up/down, our look would automatically return to center after a few moments!
I fucking love System shock, even if it's OG keyboard movement and mouse drag and drop. Being able to lean to take shoots was the shit, and fucking rocket skates. Full stop. Exactly!Center upper? Oh you mean X on the SNES controller (aka Triangle on the PS one)?
If you’ve played more PlayStation exclusive platformers, it is. I agree it’s more natural!I found it more "natural" to have the jump button in the lower face and the shooting with the left one, I'm wondering why that's not the standard.
