Games that everyone hate but you love. Or vice versa

Are you sure about that, mate? because I have the entire FEAR collection and I don't see what makes FEAR 3 so bad compared to FEAR 2.

I admit FEAR 3 is better than FEAR 2 by comparison, but that's not saying much. Both games got CODified in various ways, and the shooting just didn't feel as good as the first game nor Extraction Point. Especially the shooting FEAR 2.

Sonic Forces. Not everyone hates this game, but people loved throwing baby fits about it in the YouTube circle/social media. The game has its problems, but I don't find it the horrible disaster people like to overly exaggerate. The game is decent or fine overall, and entertaining with a great soundtrack. It's not Sonic 06, nor Sonic Boom on Wii U. I love the create a character customization, and don't regret my time. The worst I can say about the game is that the classic Sonic levels are objectively worse. Especially that fucking auto scroller level. Otherwise, I had a good time, and still pop it in for a quick speed burst every now and then.

Not as many people complain about the game now and move on, but you still have a few haters who can't get over themselves.

The controls are pretty ass at the start. But, It become more fun when you get good. At least for me.

There's a lot of that. Here's what I remember:

Games I don't play but everyone likes:

All the From Software games...but my nephews are the ones who buy each and every one of them.
I just annoy them about it in a variety of ways...
Same with Lies of P

Games I like but everyone hates:

Castlevania 64 and Legacy of Darkness
Street Fighter X Tekken
Resident Evil 6 - This is one of the first games I played online actively. I played for hours on this...and tried to unlock every bonus I could get on re.net now resident evil.net. I even binged on agent mode where you could play as a creature on other people's playthrough of story mode.

And my latest one is Killing Floor 3. Well, I got this free unexpectedly from PSN+ this December so I might as well play it since I burned myself out on Killing Floor 1 and 2.

I find strange that Bayonetta 3 is most hated by "fans" and for me this was one of the best slasher games ever.

I don't normally see a lot of chatter for it, but I feel like for me Mystical Ninja Staring Goemon for the N64 applies for me.

I get why it's not talked about a lot, it's released on the same system as Super Mario 64, the Banjo Kazooie games, and the Zelda games. It's just Mystical Ninja came out while I was still into Power Rangers and that style of humor it was telling. It's not as ground breaking or industry defining as the other releases, which that's ok. I play games that are fun for me.

What I don't care for is people acting like I'm weird for not liking Ocarina of Time. It's annoying when I had someone call me a Zoomer who doesn't like old games. I played OoT when it was released in the N64, even saw trailers for it in theaters lol. I prefer the top down releases, always have. It's tiring having discussions about media, and people can't understand that some people just do or don't like a thing, popular or not for their own reasons.
