So what did you mean with "The red hat"?

I have no problem with the Republican party as a concept. I have a problem with fascism and lawbreaking (and the people who represent that type of government style). I'll leave it at that, as we are getting too heated here. I'll remove the line because it can be misinterpreted.

I am a witness to your power level rising and have a local archive of it and would vouch for Lee, but neither of you should throw bait out for each other if you want to disagree ideas there is a way to do it without breaking rules.

I stand by all I said and I don't give a shit about your threats. If the mods want to ban me so be it.

Im fine with disagreements, if you wanna dislike a youtuber go ahead. My point was you can have your personal views on your own yt channel and its different from making an etertaining product, if say Hideki Kamiya wants to start talking about his country's politics on his yt channel he can do whatever he want

Alright then I'll delete my post too, thanks for correcting yourself and not escalating it into a fight

You can't make your channel's whole personality about hating politics being inserted into media and then do the same thing in a main gaming channel. I don't understand why you can't see the massive hypocrisy there. If he had a separate channel for his political beliefs then maybe.

The most hostile movie I ever watched was Scary Movie 5. It was hostile against my sanity.

It's one thing for a work of art to interrogate its own medium/genre and another for it to be openly hostile to its audience. Satire is not the same thing as condescension.

The only games I can think of that are openly hostile or condescending to the player are things like Takeshi's Challenge.

No I was genuinely intrigued about what you said about the gold farmers poisoning the industry and I thought to myself about why so many products now feel very similar and not fun (subjective I know) and if those same gold farmer recruitment and poisonings are truly related to games that were fun a few moons ago. Beyblade anime spinning top battles has no propaganda unless you want to argue of like a spiritual animal battling and the meritocracy of a tournament. Crash Bandicoot 3 and Banjo games had no propaganda I can see. Is it all related? I want to believe.

I promise not baiting I have never heard this tale please avoid generalizing as much as possible and I already know that microsoft owning a studio is bad news.
The thing about gold farmers is unrelated to the argument I made about propaganda. It's a new set of ideas.

As for the gold farmer, I don't want to go into more detail than that. I know if I say his name I'm opening a huge can of worms that isn't supposed to be opened, as he got way more powerful than anyone had any reason to expect him to. I gave the details I assumed I could without crossing the line on political stuff. If you really want, I can send you a DM about it.

Beyblade, like Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh and the like, is crass commercialism. It propagandizes itself as a product for kids to blow money on. It is basically anti-conspicuous consumption propaganda, which it needs to be to reach its commercial goals.

I can't comment on Crash or Banjo much, as I don't play either series. Children's media does often push a perspective of the world, though, so there is likely something there that could be critiqued. (And all art is ultimately open to critique.)

I've always felt soap operas are designed to depict and instill as much misery as possible. More recently, reality TV and national talent TV shows also. Both for contestants and audience alike.

Now like I said I dont watch him, cause its a movie channel and I don’t watch many modern movies
The same goes for game channels cause I dont like most modern games so Im not interested in em

But I think there's a big diffence between Your youtube channel and an entertainment product

If I watch/play something and it just feels like the author is preaching at me Id dislike it, but if I watch someone on youtube Im watching it for their personality and opinions
Unless say, the video had fa to do with the title and was just a way to endorse a party or something

Like jim sterling would often just use the topic of the video as a launching point to rail against whatever controversy happened; or just an excuse to attack ppl jim didnt like

Yeah, never watched Jim Sterling either. I'm sure it is a very common tactic on youtube, to share your opinions on everything. There's only so much one can talk about before running out of topics. But I personally don't care what my gaming or movie reviewer thinks about politics. Those are the last people I'd listen to for those things. Unfortunately, many in the gaming audience aren't knowledgeable enough to not be swayed by these folk.

So...metal gear.
Yet in the end Old Snake does have a happy ending, kinda like mgs1 he decides to spend his last days living as a man and for himself
For sure, I think 4 wasn't 100% player hostility as it still delivered a largely good (if not famously convoluted, confusing and full of constant retcons of course) story, and still had some genuine developments for the characters. But it's hard to deny some of things in the game with Snake feel purposeful outside of being organic storytelling decisions.

Dude made a 30 min rant about how if you play hogwarts legacy you're aiding genocide and, quote, "I do not trust you, I don't feel safe around you, I can't count on you to have my back"
Like who tf are you? I just subbed cause in 2015 your praising the spencer mansion was fun to listen to

Speaking of contempt there's also the game Physically hurting you during the microeave tunnel sequence
Like ocelot's torture on steroids, and no vibrating massage this time!

Despite everything its amazing you can play mgs 3 first then 1 then 2 then 4 and it feels coherent! My gf loved it ^^

So you do get it? That's how I feel about Nerdrotic. I liked your opinions on House of Dragons, not your opinions on foreign policy.

Such a great section, there's enough great moments in that game to make up for everything else. Raiden destroying Ray at the end, the whole fighting game style last boss battle ("Brother!").

Coherent for Kojima, at least. There's an ongoing discussion with me and my friends about how many full sized whiteboards you'd need to explain the Metal Gear lore to somebody. MGS3 you can do with like maybe two whiteboards, MGS1 would take about the same. MGS3 is when it starts getting fucky, but I think I could do it in 5. MGS4 I think I've narrowed down to 12 whiteboards.

Hey Im not fighting you Im discussing!
If you're taking about critical drinker again I dont know if he did That

Does he make videos about alien romulus and its actually a rant on foreign policy?

I mean, I can't get into too many specifics. I'm already edging too close to the terms of the site here. But the hat wearing that i was alluding to was literal. And there were endorsements to certain candidates in Nerdrotic's gaming channel. I'm speaking very vaguely here on purpose but imagine if your favorite youtuber is advocating for a certain person who has said repugnant things about your community and has acted against them in bad faith. Would you be happy about that?

As for creators I like having opinions I heavily disagree with or find immoral? That's being human, I'm sure theres plenty who find Me immoral

In total, Ocelot has been a quintuple spy
Is that a word?

If you are immoral as a private person, well that's your choice. But being immoral as a ruler is a whole different level of suck.

Sterling is an odd character. Not odd because of their LGBT/LGBT-ish persona, which is fine. (Though I honestly can't tell if it's an act or real, given how over the top Sterling generally is.) Nor because of their opinions, which are technically fine if you take the time to separate them. It's really the presentation of it all that is just strange. Like, they jump from games to politics to 80s nostalgia to corporate economics to more 80s to game again all in one video. There's a certain amount of logic to it, but it's all done in a very rambly, repetitive, jumbled manner that makes you wonder how you got to each segment in the first place. It really doesn't help that they sometimes put on military garb that is never addressed at all other than to make a very vague reference to... something possibly satirical and dystopian?... and thus the message gets even muddier.

Oh, and I probably shouldn't have clicked "show ignored content" to get context for this discussion. Apparently someone who doesn't want me to even try responding to others' questions is still screaming into the æther at me for whatever reason.

Yeah, I think I saw one clip of Jim Sterling and he was dressed in a corset and top hat and had like an old timey film effect going on. And that was too much cringe for me and I blocked all content from him for eternity.

You're lucky
I saw Jim flash the camera more than once

Thats right, sweaty chest out, saggy, only covering nipples, typing this is currently making my dick disappear into my body

No I didnt go look for it because IT WAS IN THE FUCKING INTRO AND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE VIDEO

Plus the wearing a dog collar during the video and other fetish gear and zooming into the cleavage to end a video

bro you can do what you want in the bedroom but I feel like Im getting eye-raped here

Also remarks like "we couldve just simped over my selfie!" and the constant perking up the chest is very very uncomfortable

Yeah, that's some attention seeking bullshit. Can't take anyone seriously with that type of persona.
