Games a youtuber you watched said is bad, but when you played you enjoyed it?

DmC and DMC2. Sure DMC2 has horrible enemy ai but the game is fine. Same with DmC, it plays really smooth and i had a lot of fun. People hate it cause its Dante without white hair.
Zelda Skyward Sword, for this i have no idea why people get filtered playing motion controls. I never had an issue with the Wii remote for any game. Idk why people say it ruined the game when i never struggled playing it. Same with Fi being "annoying" she barely says a whole lot and frankly she barely appears.

i remember back in 2017 AlexElCapo a quite famous Spanish (from Spain) youtuber just threw shit at Xenoblade Chronicles 2, he skipped all the tutorials, didn't read shit, and proceeded to get fricked for only using the autoattacks and therefore "the game is shit", some people shouldn't be allowed near a mic EVER.
The game was barely bought in Spain due to that.

Insane???? I didn't even think it was possible to play a game that bad. I like don't like Xenoblade Chronicles 2 but atleast I understood the game to a base level degree. ignoring a whole part of a game and then saying it's shit baffles me so much

honestly i just somethings check other's people opinions on youtube to see what is being said, basing your entiry opinion of something like that without ever trying yourself is pretty cringe.

Everyone dunked on this game when it released last year. I was about to give it pass, but it just looked so interesting to me, what with the adventurous looking woman and the zeppelin in the background, so when it hit a decent sale I gave it a chance, and I ended up loving it! Ultimate proof for myself that while I enjoy negative reviews for pure entertainment e.g Angry Joe and AVGN, I will NEVER again rule a game out on the grounds of what a reviewer says. I'll play it myself to give it a verdict, IF of course I am interested in the first place.

I think the well has long been poisoned by youtubers back in the days, hell, back when people actually gave two shits about EgoRaptor and what he had to say took his words as gospel, trashed on Mario 64 and Zelda: OoT, called it a day without providing any reasoning outside of things that showed he was a complete idiot. I don't even like OoT or Mario 64, but c'mon! It's this kinda sentiment that makes almost any youtuber's opinion on anything register as only vile white noise and static in my ears. It means nothing. We're talking about the people who unironically say "So and So game has aged poorly", a statement only said by the empty-headed idiots. If some random joe on the internet can influence your opinion on anything, let alone something from the medium that you love, you gotta hop off the computer. That being said, Civvie-11 made me check out Redneck Rampage and I liked it, it's charming.

I remember Super Best Friends would regularly trash the Bionic Commando reboot and would always joke about the whole "his wife is his arm" thing, which is admittedly pretty stupid, but I picked it up on a steam sale for dirt cheap and had a great time with it.

I found myself enjoying Operation Raccoon City quite a bit after years of hearing how bad it was from various YouTubers, but it seems like such a fun game to play with friends.

I also have a soft spot for the Friday The 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street games on NES as well as a couple other games AVGN has reviewed.

Honestly, I watch few YouTubers, and they tend to be either enthusiasts with weird taste or lean negative but play games I don't care about anyway. So I'm pretty much always in the opposite position, disliking a game they're positive about.

One case I remember, though, Tehsnakerer considering Hatred mediocre and inferior to Postal 1 would count, as I really like the game despite it's flaws and consider Postal 1 very boring in comparison.
His review was fair, but Hatred clicked with me while Postal 1 certainly didn't.

One of the reasons I stopped watching most Reviewers and Streamers. Its like once they say a game is bad everyone automatically thinks its like that without even playing or trying it out for themselves. I remember playing Sonic R in sonic gems collection. It was pretty good.
