Game features that you want in every game

Every previous voice actor for the main character returns, fully voiced lines for the whole game, and you choose what voice you get to hear in the game.

Sound test modes. I remember when a lot of games came with one. I also miss fun and wacky unlockable cheat codes like the big head and paintball modes in GoldenEye.

That sounds amazing, every RPG should have something like that
random encounters can totally break the flow of exploration, so being able to store them up and fight on your own terms is genius. It keeps the pacing smooth while still giving the player a proper challenge. Honestly,quality-of-life systems like that, autosaves before bosses and adjustable difficulty should be standard in all modern games

Model / art viewer and soundtrack player . It's fine if you lock the model viewer behind game progression or as rewards for completing challenges / hidden goals but it would be nice for it to be there. Soundtrack should also be accessible for easy file access. It's fine if it's sold separately but in that case the Soundtrack should have imo all of the music tracks.

One of the better recent trends in modern games has been incorporating a photo mode for a lot of games. I love taking screenshots and the ability to spin the camera around freely around the protagonist, or to crop them out of the frame entirely is great! Some games even allow you to add / change effects poses or weathers to really make that perfect screenshot.

  1. Some kind of feature rich training mode that lets you experiment with everything the game has to offer
  2. A detailed, in depth, tutorial mode that explains deep meta level intricacies of the game
  3. A replay system
Mind you, this would only apply to games that follow or derive from the arcade philosophy, would be kind of silly to have all this stuff in an RPG for example, or maybe not?

Playing through game first time, cutscenes be skippable if you HOLD DOWN THE FUCKING BUTTON.

Not just hit X, oh look you needed to see that to understand what's going on. Oh you wanted to see? You pressed X on accident? Well, fuck you, start the game over to see!

I HATE THAT.
As much as playing through a game first time, and the cut scenes can't be skipped.

Turbo mode is honestly a must-have for JRPGs, especially when you need to farm or just get through boring parts fast. By the way, recently when I was playing an online game with live dealers, like on
, I really missed that kind of feature — sometimes the rounds go so slow, and you just want to speed things up, but everything depends on real time. I think if live dealer games also had some kind of fast-forward, it would be awesome. Anyway, speeding up gameplay is super convenient and saves your nerves!

Would be nice to have the option to fast forward in past every conversation until you stumbled into something you haven't seen yet like in the zero escape games. Being able to play music like in mgsV would be pretty cool.

Definitely the feature to save the game anywhere and anytime.
People have no idea how important this is. Not sure where all these "nostalgic" devs came from who only want you to auto-save at checkpoints or at save points.
Dear future devs, please stop wasting peoples' time and allow us to save anywhere.

And/or, give folks the ability to choose between limited saves in some form or save anywhere.

Also lets not forget the folks who say, "...if the game has save anywhere its too easy, and I dont think any game should have it."
Please, you people go touch grass and realize people are different in how they play single player games.
Thats my mini-rant done. ::holdup
