I picked up a repro copy of FFVI Advance, then I realized I lost my GBA charcger, so I had to order one off ebay.
Man, that's a bummer. Your avatar feels really accurate right now.I picked up a repro copy of FFVI Advance, then I realized I lost my GBA charcger, so I had to order one off ebay.
and past month i had FF6 one everytime it played i would dance a bit its just that good
V is indeed dope , tactics provides a fun twist on the usual FF formula but the PS1 version has few issues that i think were resolved in the PSP remaster. My favorite Final Fantasy games are X, V, and Tactics. Love those games!
It's been quite some time since I played Tactics so I might give that a replay sometime this year.
Duuuuude, brentalfloss' final fantasy music is amazing. Zidane to Vivi might be my favorite when I'm feeling down in the dumps.i was listening to this song the other day while washing some dishes. it's pretty good.
Which species are the Moogles btw? Small bears? Also its the first game to have moogles here is their first appearance ever
They're like... cat-bear-bat things right?Which species are the Moogles btw? Small bears?
they were suppose to be an entirely different species upon their initial creation. i found a wiki page that covers some of their background and there are a ton of pictures of all of the various times that they have appeared in the series and other series as well.Which species are the Moogles btw? Small bears?
it seems like they took parts of each and mixed them together and made a few adjustments during the process. don't forget, they were originally meant to be ice nomads, wandering through artic tundras and surviving in harsh frozen weather; which would explain the white fur to help them blend into the environment. the claws would help with slippery surfaces, and wings for short jumps over cracks.Mole... bats? Ok, they sure don't look like any moles I've seen. I guess that explains why they are always squinting.
I have no clue just something unique to Final FantasyWhich species are the Moogles btw? Small bears?
i have the ability to save inside the dungeon and the ability to speed up game speed which was very useful cuz the game expects you be at least level 50~ something to enter the dark world well i wont grind all that it would take ages i fast forward and just fight like that in few minutes im 1 level up i get to level 55 this way in 30 minutes from 50 to 55.Oh yeah i forgot the airships really no one in FF3 world can engineer an airship that goes over vast amounts of mountains nope..... They haven't figured the tech for that yet what you have is 2 airships one fast and one turtle speed worst yet is there is AIR RANDOM ENCOUNTERS and its so often that it becomes absurd i hate the shadow cave pathway cuz you have to go through some maze to reach it like just give me an airship that moves properly.... And chocobos arent very useful also they are white not yellow big L for square on this.I liked FF3 more than the two previous games, which I didn't even finish. However, I did only play re-releases. Not messing around with this NES stuff.
FF3 has better world map exploration IMO. The map opens in layers, dependent on the vehicles you've unlocked. In many games, you get an airship and can go anywhere. Not played much into FF2, but I have the impression odd-numbered FF games do it more often.
I could be wrong, but I think attack and magic multipliers go up with job levels in the NES version. Faint memories from watching HCBailly play the game.
I know its a bit unfair cuz its outdated and made on the tech of the time and what it allowed , many confusing things made it way less better for example i forgot what mallet does.... What does this job offer? Etc there is no text that explains like FF4 and FF5 , i get this is a 1990 product im playing in 2025 its quite sad they didn't remake it to the PS1 like FF1/FF2 with the new tech it would be a lot better visually/audio wise but yeah the way airships work the shadow cave thing the final dungeon all zeroed everything else that made the game ok , not to mention that the game can fuck you over pretty easily like the water dragon temple and needing to buy spells and all that and i nearly softlocked myself in the elder tree boss luckily i had an elixir that saved the day , its stupid that there is no tents and if i switch from a caster to a melee job i lose the spell points and vice versa , i gotta say magic is a lot better than 1/2 and toad can be pretty strong.I played the NES version of FF3 and I can't agree with such a harsh review. It is definitively a flawed game and the last dungeon is dog shit but the game is perfectly playable and fun up until that point. The graphics are what was possible on the NES. I'd give it like a 5 out of 10.
