yeah, they do just usually see it as a job. the guy who played obi-wan kenobi in the original star wars movie met a fan of the movie, and he told the guy to "grow up, it's just a movie"
Well looks like they don't have the attachment to it like the fans do or never watch/play the stuff they work on.

i read a bit of it. mostly everything expect the story part. i'm avoiding spoilers for the moment. which is a bit weird since i watched the 2 part video by rabtoons, but i don't remember any part of it. that was months ago. i already got spoiled on ramza and delita apparently getting new sets or armor. they look like they went from naked snake and revolver ocelot to venom snake and shalashaska. so i guess something intense happens later on.
Yeah I placed story spoiler solely for you XD and if anyone who didn't play it your appearance change throughout the chapters.

so far, it is fantastic. i feel like i'm playing tactics advance 2 again for the first time. the first boss that i fought did kind of feel like bullshit. i'm twice her level and only one character could hurt her for more than 20 points of damage. i got some more jobs mastered. everyone has squire mastered and Lulu mastered chemist.

steadily working my way over to the other jobs. i do need to catch maria up, i'll switch her over to another job to level grind while i work on getting job levels for the others. i got time mage unlocked, so everyone will be unstoppable very soo.
So now I guess you are playing the original tactics not advanced or anything just vanilla tactics the first attempt for square in this sphere I think it was a success otherwise they would have done no more tactics entries , I see you are working on getting everyone to master squire? Well its sure worth it for scream ability.

XD at this rate you are gonna be more OP than I ever was.

Maria needing to catch up sounds familiar no its real you need her HP to get high early on in FF2 cuz any scratch result in her getting downed ::angrygenjin she can't take an arrow or worse a ogre mage ice aoe ability 0/10

I did like your point about the intro. I don't know if you were able to catch what I wrote a page back, but I've always thought that text in the intro was mistranslated. The localization in the PS1 version of the game has dodgy English, like the little money... scene. And the ability "wiznaibus" of the dancer is straight Japanglish.

I was able to use Rafa as a white mage, I don't think she's completely useless. But that is more because the white mage job is good.

yeah, that's usually the case.

okay. it'll be interesting to see what happens.

i played and beat tactics advance 2 twice and i got halfway through the first tactics advance before my psp stopped working. at first, i though that you need ablilites to unlock jobs, since that's how the advance games work; but then i noticed getting other jobs while i was getting used to the game, and the massive amount of time that i spent playing disgaea games has it drilled a bit in my head to get everything, you'll never know when something will be useful.
this is also a side effect of the rule that i have in place for this playthrough. only having the necessary amount of characters in my party. i usually have more characters than i need in tactics adv 2 and disgaea games. i get a full party of 24, or 30, 40,50 characters in disgaea. i use like, 5-7 of them.
i'll get some screenshots of my characters in disgaea 6. they are overpowered, and they aren't even maxed out yet.
yeah, maria needs the most hand holding in ff2. it's very weird for the same thing to happen in tactics too. maria is supposed to be a black mage in ff2; hence the low hp, back row assignment and bow and arrow set up and higher intel and magic stat compared to the other characters. i usually move her into the front row, give her some armor, and slowly build up her stats. it takes a while, but soon she gets on par with firion and guy.

Huh so its not the most accurate of translations huh? Well....wait there is a dancer job? Bro when? I only got to ninja and that's it.

Yeah I was thinking of making rafa a spellcaster but I unintentionally beaten the game I thought it was longer so I was gonna do it later...

Yeah it shows u have played this sort of game before compared to me who just thought "I need more move value" and that was the whole strategy and it actually works.

Like yeah that's the funny coincidence both characters named maria fell behind , guy or in my game called gus which I think sounds better is good from the get go while firion I think you are in these sweet spot of being ultimate tank like gus or total gladscanon like maria you are something of a mixed bag with in between everything I went lore accurate firion with swords and knives as he uses it in the intro so I guess he is a knife guy for maria I had her with bows for some purpose I forgot for gus well damn he was the MVP for half of the game until gareth became a thing and from that point on gus was the staff/axe guy who got so good at it he could score 22 hits I think in a row once FF2 gameplay gets working its fun but you need patience for that not to mention me building leila to be crowd control just to have her snapped away from me like that , square was trolling you throughout this game I'm sure its intentional.

What does a Potion taste like? I would imagine it being thick and gelatinous.

movement is very important. maria would be a bit strong if she had just one more movement space. but the archer job is just temporary. i think knight or thief is next for her.
do check one of my posts from a page or 2 ago, i attached a job tree image to it. it shows what jobs and levels that you need for the different jobs.
my next time playing ff2, everyone is going to max out everything. i'll be playing the psp version to check out the new dungeon that was added in.
i got some screenshots of my 4 main characters in disgaea six, along with their main weapons.

Good question ::thinking

I think it would be more light like grape juice or orange juice cuz you need to chug it fast during battle so that sounds more practical.

I think archers are just fine with 5 movement since the bow covers a good area , items that increase attack I find preferable on archers so they can a high damage character.

Well good for you replaying that game I don't think I want to touch it for the next 10 years unless square heeds my call and makes a remake.

And oh god these are some insane numbers you got what's this millions? Can you make description for characters in this game? I see you also have your female brigade there too MasterEn defeating evil with the ultimate weapon: anime girls

I think it tastes like robitussin.

According to this article, 7 potions known to be made by medieval monks were composed of mandrake root, sea holly, absinthe, rosemary, henbane, peony and catsworth. So they probably tasted like herbs mixed in alcohol (alcohol was usually used as the base for potions). Something like a mojito.

Well does that mean it more on the light side? Medicine can be both thick and thin or light....not that I know if alcohol is thick or thin but based on looks it seem light.

It would probably be herbs mashed in a mortar and pestle and mixed into an alcohol base. Medieval monks would distill their own alcohol in their monasteries for medicinal purposes.

All I have to say is...

Final Fantasy Tactics.
I recently realized that Fire Emblem: Three Houses has a very close implementation of FFT class powers. Maybe that's why I kept replaying that one. Worth checking out.

Yeah 3 Houses is my favorite Fire Emblem game for that exact reason.

i'll have to go back and check that game out more thoroughly. i don't remember being very impressed with that game.
It's a flawed game and I actually couldn't figure out what was keeping me hooked on it. Until I realized that it has the "take other job abilities to other classes" mechanic then I played through multiple times just for some cool character builds.

i did notice that, but for some reason, i didn't like it in fire emblem three houses. maybe it works better on repeat playthroughs. i'm about halfway through the game on my first playthrough.

How are you feeling about all the Monastary sections? That's what dragged it down for me. Especially my first playthrough because I was min/maxing everything. New Game + allows to miss most of that if you want next few games, which definitely helps.

i liked the idea of running around and chatting with all of the characters, doing a couple of mini games and getting to know the characters; but i didn't like the fact that you either chose to train your party or hang out. it should have been you can do training missions and then go back to restock on supplies and check in with your team; but picking a story mission advance time and the plot.
having individual days leading up to the mission days would solve that. felt like i had to make heavy decisions based off of just my general knowledge of the series, and finding out that the weapon triangle was gone, made me not want to trust my instincts on any decision.

What difficulty are you playing on by chance? I also think Three Houses did this well because the two lower difficulties allow infinite grinding. You can select a traning day that has no cost. So you can powerlevel anybody if you wanted to. You can play it over and over again. On hard and Maddening, these options aren't there, so that choice hurts a lot more.

been a while since i last played it. might have been easy or normal. i mainly just wanted to check out the story first. as far as i could tell form what the game said, you could only pick one or the other each week. my characters are decently leveled, so the difficulty isn't really the problem. i might just be used to the older games. the last new fire emblem game that i played was fire emblem warriors and before that was awakening.

i like the fodlan setting a lot but three houses the game is far from my favorite fire emblem, the open class system made it hard to use a varied team I was always tempted to just make everyone wyvern lords and call it a day thru all 4 of my runs. the monastery sections were a nice break on the first playthru but on every other playthru after the first they were a slog to sit thru when i just wanted to get to the next battle. Overall I liked three hopes and the 3ds games a lot better

I find this attitude silly, especially when the game is super easy, even on Maddening mode (aside from one map that is a real bisch). I find plenty of classes that are good aside from Wyvern/Pegasus. Dancer, Mage/Bishop/Dark Mage, Brawler, Thief, Brigand, Cavalier, Dark Knight are all viable classes. Even Armor Knight is useful for certain characters (at least in the early game). Plus converting certain characters to Wyvern takes A LOT of grinding, which should be a dissuasive for most of these shenanigans, unless you enjoy repetitive pointless battles (I sure don't).
