We do. Speaking of FF.
One time I was at work talking to a group of coworkers and Final Fantasy came up. I said, "I'm not a huge fan. I've played FF1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,X,X-2, 12 (extensively), 13, and Type-0, and that dumb gamecube one."

It was at that moment I realized not only was a fan, I think I'm a fanboy.

I hate the cartoonish design after being spoiled by FFXII's take and since then. I think if they weren't given the established name of Moogle they could have been expanded upon as a playable race in FFXIV. Sure FFTA started it with Nono but I feel like they still had a chance to rename to expand upon them and now they have to uphold older established design as it's more iconic in every new title now.

i like both styles. the cartoon like style works when the characters look more anime like, and the ivalice style can work both for cartoony and realistic.
everyone has been having trouble with uploading attachments. usually deleting and trying again will eventually get the images through.

The OG moogle design is classic Final Fantasy. It's as iconic as chocobos and cactaurs. The Ivalice design is way more suited for an actual playable in-game race, though.

By the way, did anyone else play Final Fantasy Explorers? It was a pretty mindless hack-n-slasher, but I enjoyed being able to play as all the different jobs.

Explorers was a lot of fun! Rough around the edges and definitely didn't take Monster Hunter's throne, but it had a solid foundation and I'd love a sequel someday. Too bad it didn't really sell that well.

That reminds me!

I don't play FF14 right now, but they recently showed off a bunch of new gear for the upcoming patch.
It's largely inspired by FF9 and I think it looks SO good. I kinda low key wish the whole game had this kind of style, instead of the hodgepodge it currently is.

Hello all. I've been pretty interested in getting more into Final Fantasy after playing through FFVI, but the number of titles is a bit daunting from an outside perspective. Is there a place you would recommend someone who's only finished VI and VII to go from there?

i would recommend 4, 5, 9, 10, and 12 alongside tactics 1, advance and advance 2. after that, 1,2, and 3. i haven't played much of 8 but most people play that one for the trading card game. it's very addictive from what i can tell.
