not yet. i had some trouble with that psx emulator that you suggested. i don't think i had everything set up correctly, it booted up but just hung on a black screen upon loading the game. i found a program called duckstation and it works. played a bit of a yugioh mod to try it out.
i do have the Convenience mod for ff tactics sitting on my desktop. i'll be booting it up later; i got distracted with dragon quest monsters 2.

i'm certain that i need plugins for it work properly. i tried looking on the site that the mini help guide sends you too, but it didn't seem to have them. or if it did, it was hidden somewhat well going by other people searching for them.
i did boot the game up a little while ago after i posted my previous message and before i had to wash some dirty dishes. forgot what it is like to play a game that takes itself seriously. already got a favorite character. here's a couple of screenshots:

oh. didn't know that. it just randomly was suggested to me while i was watching papasea's new video about beating pokemon ruby with a lvl 100 zizagoon. it seemed a bit relevant to your question.

I don't agree that eject is the worst condition in Final Fantasy, sorely because it cannot lead to a game over.

If you were targeted by all Final Fantasy villains and you got to choose only one of them to protect you, who would you choose?

hmm, an interesting question.
i'd say exdeath and jecht would tie for first place; but that depends on this: are we limited to their original game or are we taking all appearances into account?

Kain is technically both a hero and a villain so I'd pick him.

Kain the dragoon? He isn't a main villian more like your friend who has problems with getting hypnotized again and again mf can't stay stable.

I would pick none other than Xdeath he just scares people by standing there menacingly.

not going to lie, i was thinking first of ultimecia, and to try and keep it in family friendly terms, she can make one quite thirsty.
but you said to take this seriously. and since you set the limit of original appearance, that reduces the effectiveness of each villain.
panda picked exdeath, who is the only character in dissidia who can block all attacks, even chaos and feral chaos's attacks. jecht can block all but one of his attacks as well as all other characters too.
i mainly went with demonstrated power levels. that would make the pool of viable characters go down to just 3. ultimecia, kuja and jecht.

no need to apologize. i have a stack of sketches of my favorite final fantasy babes that i'm working on and edna/ultimecia made the list.
for such a question, you can't go by how thirsty the character makes you; otherwise, lulu would be the best answer.
so, besides a appealing façade, why do you pick edna/ultimecia?

If all 9 villains of the original 10 were after you the last thing that I think would be on your mind is getting laid yeah ultimecia could work pretty well but ma boi Xdeath is just too OP he slaps you into the Xzone pretty easily he is dedicated to nothing but destruction he is literally a tree with all demon and evil in it bro merged 2 worlds together.

Also most important he stands there menacingly leaning on his word while you fight for your life if you fear you can just hide inside his armor since I think its empty from the inside lol.

no, the armor isn't empty. at least from what i remember from my last playthrough. exdeath is a tree filled with the evil of humankind. so, the armor is occupied.
and i'll quote vegeta from dbza abridged "not impressed! i can do that too!" yggdrasill from tales of symphonia can do that too. still an impressive feat though.

Huh maybe he is an ethereal presence when in armor form? Idk , yeah we are talking FF powerscale here not dragon ball bro....still the armor is sturdy enough I think so its worth getting into I mean how large of a tree can he be

Well, she can mind control other people to fight for her ( like how she did with Seifer).
