A demo for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade Demo is up on Switch 2, but there's just one problem. The file size for the demo is 87.9 GB.
So yeah, this demo will cost that much space for your SD card compared to the full game which is 99GB that's 12 gigs higher. I think Square-Enix or Nintendo should do this for huge games with enormous file sizes. Add a separate 250GB SD card included with the game and swap the SD cards back and forth so the previous SD card with all the software and data will be saved while the other SD card is used for a game that uses up a lot of space for a giant file size

Most likely they decided to go lazy and just put some data that make the game stop at one point

I wont be surprised if there are news that data miners found the whole game playable by making some edits in the code

You cant tell me that a demo for just one part of the game is almost the same size of the full one

FFVII makes you cry because you feel bad for the characters because of how the story unfolds

Update: the Demo is not 87.9 GB. It's 7.9-8.0GB. Still, that's huge for a demo.

That makes more sense. Most of the size goes for the models and sound/music

God knows how uncompressed they are since its a demo

holy fuck balls for the year 2025 jesus that's alot. i recall nintendo doing cloud streaming for the kingdom hearts games.... (i wonder if they still do....)

I cried while plying FFVII because I realized I spent $102.07 (in 9/2025 monies) on this piece
of poop. I was 23 mom and dad weren't springing for my games like in the 2600 days.
EVEN WORSE I bought FF7 instead of Symphony of the Night which is the best game of all time.

Can't remember if they released before or after, but they also tried it for some Resident Evil games.
