Thank you, i needed the reminder that yes.... the original game that came out in 1997 is graphically inferior to Rebirth.

But eh, graphically yes, artistically? NO.

Wouldn't change a thing, It's charming and fondly remembered for it's time, if the game is good & legendary, it's for a reason.
You think people are going to hyper focus on 'lego' style graphics back in 1997? or enjoy the game for what it is? if you did or are currently hyper focusing on this one factor, sorry....straight up fake gamer, who cannot be open enough to see the full picture.

Did i specifically say you by name, in the wording of my post? no. Did i imply it? maybe, maybe not, but ultimately that's for you to decide for yourself. Hyper critical over lego proportions on a 1997 game? or like the experience overall? simple.

I'm not hyper critical in fact I just said the art style of ff7 is blocky characters ( of course i know is 1997 and of course i know they changed those on 8 ) and anime

They also shaved off about 50gb from the PC version!

While playing it on PC, I was praying that somehow, I could make the size smaller. I saw that on Steam Deck it was smaller. There's no need for me to have 155 GB if my RX 6600 doesn't even tank 4k textures. Now I'm jealous of switch2 owners and deck owners.

I have a strong love/hate relationship with this game I cannot explain but I'm glad I've finished it with the HD version on Steam because I got stuck on the PS2 emulator version.

And I also think it's the last true classic Final Fantasy since the next one will be the first post-SquarEnix merging starting by X-2.
