Fire Emblem Awakening is one of my favorite games of all time! I've put hundreds of hours into it playing though the different difficulty settings and doing different challenge runs. Has some of my favorite characters in the series as well (including one of my favorite characters ever.)

Also Tomodachi Life and Animal Crossing New Leaf ate up hundreds of hours when they came out. Streetpass made those games a blast back then.

Such a replayable game! It's got so much content, especially with the DLC on top of it.

New Leaf is an amazing experience. In some ways I like it more than New Horizons. It has less customizable aspects to it, but the characters and world have a little more depth to them than in New Horizons. Plus, there's a ton of minigames and extra things to do! I super recommend it if you get the chance to play it.

Etrian Odyssey IV is the biggest one for me. That was the game that made me feel like I didn't make a mistake getting a 3DS.

Life sims are slowly but surely becoming a favourite genre of mine recently. They are oddly soothing.

i get what you mean. at first i bought animal crossing since it was so highly rated, but it didnt click for me. took a while for it to sink its hooks in and boy was it addictive

Yeah, Animal Crossing New Horizons was my first one. I still quite enjoyed it, but I have found other ones that I've enjoyed way more since.

Fantasy Life was one of my favorite 3DS games. It's a better game than the recently released sequel which feels half-baked in many ways. I got to the highest rank in all the jobs and made most of the best equipment before I stopped playing. It's a grindy game for sure, but I found the grind to be pleasant compared to most other grindy games. I really like the art style and had fun exploring the world. The whole game is super charming imo.

I came here to mention Ever Oasis, and I'm ecstatic with how many folks have already mentioned it. I think of the 3DS games I've played, that's my favorite. It was unexpectedly charming, and mechanically still pretty engaging.

I've only played the River City Girls spin-offs. I need to go back and check out more of the franchise
