• Pokémon HeartGold/SoulSiver: My favorite Pokémon games, warts and all.
• Chibi-Robo! Clean Sweep: The best Chibi-Robo, has a great fan translation.
• Solatorobo: Red the Hunter: Super charming Mega Man Legends-esque game.
• Etrian Odyssey: An excellent trilogy if you like dungeon crawlers.
• The Dark Spire: Overlooked retro-style dungeon crawler, great visuals.
• Chousoujuu Mecha MG: Super unique touch-based mecha game, fan-translated.
• Shiren the Wanderer DS2: I'll take this series on every platform it's on.
• Final Fantasy Tactics A2: It has its flaws, but it's very easy to dump 100+ hours into.
• Soma Bringer: If you like Xenoblade Chronicles, this is its 2D predecessor. (Fan-translated.)
• Dragon Quest IX: Massive JRPG you can dump hundreds of hours into.
• Phantasy Star Zero: Fun, fully-3D ARPG, a bit lonely without co-op play.
• Mario Hoops 3-on-3: Super underrated basketball game with Final Fantasy/DQ characters.
