Favorite Junk Food?

Other times when I want shitty food, I'll get a Totino's pizza. They are...not great. Somewhat better when you add shredded cheese, pepperoni, canned mushrooms, onions or whatever else before throwing them in the oven or air fryer, which is usually what I do. My parents would do that now and then when I was growing up, so I suppose I am carrying on the tradition. Of course, a Totino's can also be heated up in the microwave, and then rolled up and eaten like the soggy, rubbery nightmare that it is.
The cul-de-sac suburbanite's Quick-n-Easy. Man, the days I ate those things while watching Cartoon Network...

Nostalgic enough for me to forgive the fact that flavor only got out of those things with seasoning additives/toppings. These days I'm much the same as you: rice is too multi-faceted a recipe foundation - and easy to make atop that - that it's downright impossible not to throw a cup on when I'm feeling peckish. Rice with eggs' are my common staple, fashioned with chicken bouillon. Best part: it's perfect for sweeping the kitchen. Compliments so easily with everything that it's a good one-two punch of taking and using stock.

Aside from rice, there's some choice stuff you can still make with dirt-cheap ramen noodles as well, though it demands ingredients to pick up the slack. Mushrooms, onion and kale are my go-to for that; perfect melody for both flavor and wallet. The fact you can couple it with the rice as well helps loads. Besides that, pinto refried bean burritos and veggie meatballs fashioned from lentils are good freezer-stock for the stomach.

Prep-work goes against the fashion of "lazy food", though. If ever I'm truly - and I mean truly - lazy, then there's these three mainstays.

Peanut butter and pancake mix, rice with vinegar, or a simple peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Given that I'm not feeling like buying a microwave meal or something from Taco Bell. Even I'm not above the influence...

Depends on your definition on "lazy food". Salad is also lazy food since you can make it less than 5 minutes.

I struggle with chronic illness so I've had a decent amount of "lazy food." I still try to meet my nutritional needs though.

Maybe a weird opinion but Dairy Queen. Most fast food places around here mess up fries but our Dairy Queen ones are always 10/10.

Easily A&W, McDonald's, and Rally's/Checkers.

I almost exclusively fed myself off that kind of stuff for quite a many years, and I'll always have a soft spot for some of it. Instant ramen in particular, though I strive to find better ones the older I get. Canned vegetables and chili are still a pretty prominent part of my diet, too.

Always happy to see a fellow edible cardboard enjoyer. Pepperoni Totino's were my lifeblood for a while when I got old enough to reasonably feed myself whenever I was hungry. Using the grated parmesan that's probably about as much sawdust as it is actual cheese was always how I topped them.

Since I don't often eat, they're an alternative to pasta or risotto. Something to cook on a frying pan on in a oven.

I like these Frozen Tombstone 5 cheese pizzas more than they probably deserve

Baked well done and destroyed with red pepper flakes and grated garlic parmesan cheese, it's awful and I love it.

No, I prefer if my food goes to work and stops being lazy!

It does help they put all the cheese they can while still being profitable on them, lol

Instant ramen is my staple food. I know it's not healthy, but it's easy.

Salad can be lazy to make however I personally wouldn't call it lazy to eat. I am very "conscious" when I'm eating a salad as the main course. Whereas, I can stuff down half a pizza without noticing it within 15 minutes.

I have a little bit of a quirk to me that some people... question. I'm such a massive fan of burgers that as long as it's not burnt beyond recognition or like spoiled or something... I'll eat and probably enjoy it.

Cheap, half frozen burger paddies from the store? Yep.
"Even kids hate these" school burgers? Love 'em.
"Would you try those nasty burgers in a can?" Actual question from my wife... I had to think about it.

So, that established... I'm not sure I have an 'ideal'. I'm partial to mushroom swiss burgers, but sometimes I'm not as in the mood for that as I am for a more classic "American Cheeseburger."

Also, "onion burgers" are amazing. Basically a super thin smash burger with ABSURD amounts of hyper thin onion cooked onto it.

Not a fan of super greasy burgers or 'tower' burgers, though. Big burgers should be wider, not taller.

Any burger that's currently in front of me, really

I love smash burgers with cheese, onion, pickles, mayo and ketchup. Tomatoes are also okay on burgers but it often makes it too messy.

Toasted buns, lettuce, pickles, provolone cheese, grilled onions, and mustard are my go-to toppings for burgers. When I was in college, we had a topping bar by the grill where burgers and cheese steaks were made, and that was also how I discovered that banana peppers are awesome on burgers, but definitely not something I want all the time either.

I like me a mean Mushroom Swiss. But also the Ideal is Mushroom Pepper Jack (or alternative spicy cheese) with Jalapeño and some Mayo. That's my go to for struggle burgers, I always have one or all of those ingredients lying around.

No veggies. (maybe pickles)
Lots of beef, cheese, and bacon. Spicy mayo and some ketchup.
