Favorite game of all time?

View attachment 135513

It's PURE magic.

The audiovisual aspect makes it feel like a dream, it's so ethereal and mysterious, and sometimes slightly spooky, and sometimes comforting and calming.
The gameplay and the rules you're given are extremely straightforward and simple, but the context makes your responsibility feel massively heavy.
The story is simple yet excellent, and combined with the way it looks and sounds makes it truly feel like a fairy tale or folk tale in a way very few games manage to, in my opinion.

All of these aspects it combines PERFECTLY.

No game experience will ever come close to my first experience with this game.
Well, a few kinda did, but they're in my top 2 through 5 lol

Incredible choice Tonberry, I absolutely adore ICO, so much in fact I bought the OST too.

It is and forever will be Rondo of Blood.
It just ticks all the right boxes in a genre that I would also consider my favorite. It being the pinnacle of an already great series just makes it shine that much brighter.

Honourable mention to the PSP version. It may not look or play as good as the original but it adds some cool things and has Ayami Kojima's stellar artwork. It was also the original way I able to play this game.

Really solid choice, I loved the Baker home vibe, its really creepy at times & like you said it was different for RE in a positive way. (Beautiful shot with the hanging dolls)

No idea, I have a lot of games that I really like, games I like but haven't touched in a long time just because, games I've liked before but are either getting worse from updates or I've gotten burned out on them and games I've 100%ed but might not come back to soon. The closest to my favourite game ever might be Portal 2 but I'll probably change my opinion whenever I play another game that I really like. Last time that happened was this summer when I played Hotel Dusk: Room 215, that's one of my favourite video game stories right now.

Hmmm... Second would be Street Fighter II Turbo. When Super SF II came out at the arcade, I was pissed. After all the shit Capcom kept saying SFIII was on the way and they do Super not know how to count to three and to borrow more time.

It was ironically when I saw this one, and I'd lost so many days and months playing this. 2 was why I bought my AES, this I played so much I wore out the Neo sticks.:

My favorite video game of all time is still Super Mario Bros. 3 nes after all these years Chrono Cross and Chrono Trigger are runners up.
I still want to give Chrono Trigger another try at some point, it's looks so good

Mate, yes! Rondo of Blood it's just peak Castlevania. And yeah, DXC is definitely worth checking out, my favorite thing being that you can put any song of the OST in whatever stage you want (Including the unused remix of Cross Your Heart, which is freaking amazing)

Shocker, I know. Who could have seen this coming?
Honestly, SA2 isn't really my thing. Adventure 1 is just far leagues superior to me, but hey, I have weird tastes lmao

SUPER

CASTLEVANIA

IV.
YES.
Although, if I had to put the three 16-Bit Castlevanias in a top, it would be Rondo in third, SCV4 in second and Bloodlines in first.

PC Genjin (Bonk / PC Kid / B.C. Kid) series and spin-offs including PC Denjin, CD Denjin and Super
is a series that I would consider part of my 'favorite games ever' besides the aforementioned below

I like a lot of games, so choosing my favorite is diffi-

Need For Speed III: Hot Pursuit.
It's the best game I've ever played in my entire life.
It's perfect, the music, the cars, everything.
I just love it.
