True! The PAL community loves them, but they never took over in the U.S., so that basically sealed their fate in a lot of ways. Super unfair how hard U.S. controls the narrative on retro games to be honest. Too many games get unfairly overlooked because they did poorly in the U.S.

I'll start with:
 LSD: Dream emulator

It's one of the weirdest games ever made. It feels like a dream that makes no sense, with strange places, odd sounds, and creepy people. Every time you hit something things change, making it even more confusing. It's more like an art project than an actual game, with no end whatsoever.

I'm curious to know if there's any other game that's weirder than this.

First off; Aquanaut's Holiday
Explore the vast ocean, find weird junk, and...talk to fish, i guess? kinda? The game just kinda plops you into the ocean with little guidance, much like LSD dream emulator youre just made to wander and find stuff, this game actually has a few sequels that are better then the last!

Secondly; Paranoia scape
This game isnt even good, its like weird fucked up pin ball but it looks awesome lmao

Third here is a personal favorite of mine; Planet DoB
made to coincide a band album by the same name, ironcially has no songs from said album in it, but its super artsy and an amazing ride for what it is, it was LaserMoose who showed me this gem.

And finally, this is another one of thoes weird obscure games youd never hear about, but i love it to death for how stupid it is; King Of Crusher, this is just a classic "fuck shit up for no reason" game, its not a good one either but its weird enough i feel, you can thank King Koopa for showing me this one too lol
