A great hack. There is a 3.4 update by RadioTails which they only released on Romhack Plaza and didn't put on ROMhacking for some reason -

Probably for the Hacking contest, anyway I tested it and it semms to work, here's a prepatched Rom if anyone's interested.

A few things I'd like to make this hack better, quick drop, being able to rotate while in a corner, being able to block and counter attack, basically add Puyo Puyo Tsu quality of life into Puyo Puyo 1.

Absolutely. It's probably not possible without a full decompilation or something of the sort, though. Even the Tsuu hack doesn't quite have these expected features just yet.
