Anime Does anyone have recommendations for relaxing anime?

Ninja'd ::eggmanlaugh

You have got good taste.
Thanks, you to.
Ya..... sometimes if I'm in a really bad mood, I'll watch Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou. Well, you can't stay in a bad mood watching this

It makes me want to climb on the roof, have a cup of coffee and just watch the world go around.

I find Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop to be pretty relaxing anime. They may have action and fight scenes but there's something about them that makes them feel less hype-inducing than other anime. The soundtracks and visuals also feel very cozy and almost dreamlike.

Bebop if nothing else has a stellar OST (Good anime tho)

For me, lighthearted comedy like Saiki K, Campfire Cooking in Another World,Mr. Villain's Day Off, and Case Closed: The Culprit Hanzawa are the way to go. Also, these don't have anime adaptations, but Monster cats, Yokai Cats, and Wonder Cat Kyuu-chan are good too.

I usually just rewatch Hamefura, GTO, Genshiken, Gabriel Dropout or Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo.
Though sometimes I will just rewatch certain Japanese live action films I remember watching with friends in the early 2000s, like Ping Pong (2002), Versus (2000), or Moon Child (2003).

I recently watched Di Gi Charat and I think it fits your request. It's funny, nonsensical, all the characters are silly and adorable, it's one of those shows where you don't need to think much, simply turn off your brain and enjoy the show! ::lol

Also the OST is great to listen to later.

Thanks

This one is genuinely sedating:

Just finished the final episode and I have to say I love Quiet Country Cafe! The vibe was definitely relaxed and invoked this feeling of calmness but with a sprinkle of humor every now and then. The music segments added to the overall charm of it. I almost felt nostalgic despite it being the first time watching.

It did seem like there was supposed to be more episodes planned but it didn't come to be? I felt the last episode, while not bad, was the weakest of the four and despite being the last episode, was introducing a rather mysterious character only for it to never be mentioned again.

Thank you for suggesting this. I can see myself watching it again sometime. Now I gotta check out what else is being recommended here!

On board with Yuru Camp, my fiancée and I watch it from time to time right before going to bed and we rarely reach the end of the episode, super relaxing. Mono is based on a different manga from Yuru Camp's author (there's even some crossover), and while it's a bit more energetic it's still pretty chill, and much more focused on photography.

I'd say pretty much every slice of life manga have this

But i will personally recommend barakamon and tanaka kun is always listless

Dammit, i was going to suggest this.

But yeah Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou (Yokohama Shopping Log) is the most relaxing anime you will ever watch. It features almost no dialogue and no action whatsoever. It's more of a visual and auditory experience than a story. It has a bit of story, but it's almost the anime equivalent of a sleeping pill it's so relaxing, you might actually fall asleep watching it.

It's a crime actually, that it's so short.

I've only read the manga but that's really good - I've got a soft spot for series set in post-cataclysmic environments!

I'd go with the already recommended Azumanga Daioh and add some others like... non non biyori, and maybe... Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou

and the most relaxing of all that i know... Aria the Animation

Yep, don't forget the out-of-pocket fart jokes that happen later on.

Probably Dr.Slump. To me it's a fairly relaxing, and cute series.

Strawberry Mashmellow (cute girls doing funny things)

Dangashi Kashi ( traditional japanese snacks/ rom com)

Crayon Shin-chan (the GOAT)

and here is one that almost nobody remembers but is almost a queen of fair going vibes: Layton's Mystery Detective Agency - Katry's Mystery Solving Files (detective conan with feelings but no tension)

My recommendation of Slice of life and as so call Coming of age series. I would pick on my top of anime list is Haibane Renmei.
It's slow as better to watch on retro CRT, The progression of each episodes build up the way that covers more of the girls tell different story how they got here and what they do. Honestly, i felt humane after i watched, it is very mature take on psychological matter especially Reki. I will say, is off the edge to be relaxation since some of those may trigger heavy topic about their circumstances and the first shows a disturbing scene a new born "angel" grows her wing.
And also Yoshitoshi Abe, Designer of "Serial Experience Lain", Created from short manga that animated the series.
I just really like series to share, it nails the way to show sympathy.

Thank you for the recommendation.

Sorry if mentioned, I didn’t see it (but maybe be blind):

A PLACE FURTHER THAN THE UNIVERSE

Violet Evergarden (Centers around a female "super" soldier survivor of a war who want to learn what the word "i love you" means)

Usagi Drop (Manga has a season 2 that everyone just wants to forget exist, but the anime got it right)

And for Isekais:

Parallel World Pharmacy, By the Grace of the Gods, Slow Life of a Cheat Pharmacis and I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed my Level

There are way more but those are the ones that are relaxing for me
