Do you think Warcraft 4 could be a success?

It’s actually crazy to me we have gotten to the point I talk to people about Warcraft and they have no idea it was a series before WoW. Even wilder to me is that Blizzard still hasn’t released WC4 yet, but then I realized they haven’t dropped an RTS since SC2 in 2010 (not counting the WC3 remaster) and its last expansion was 2016. Together these things make me thing Blizzard doesn’t see an actual WC 4 release as viable.

What about you guys? Do you think there is an actual market for the title?

To be honest, Blizzard focused almost entirely on WoW and the previous games were left into the forgetness to most people

they actually are incapable of making fun games

In part is Blizzard themselves, all the talent who worked in the iconic games has either being fired, left already, or were sent to the Call of Duty coal mines. The Activision acquisition was the worse cancer that could have happened to them.

The other, is that in on itself, making an RTS in this day and age is a big gamble, and big companies are very risk adverse. There is also the fact that the RTS genre is dead, remakes don't count, and every new game is either very niche or flops on release.

If they madr it instead of wow yes it would have sold.

Todays blizzard is not 2003-5 blizzard all the og devs have either left or been kicked out by activision.

Modern blizzard has 0 love for the franchise.

But I will give them credit for warcraft 1 and 2 remaster i enjoyed them allot.

My thoughts exactly.

They were even botching Warcraft 3 hard, to the point where hardcore RTS fans were abandoning it.

There's no way it can succeed now.

Warcraft 4 would be an RTS, which doesn't make all the money Blizzard leadership and Microsoft want. It is unlikely that will ever happen.
