Umm, surprisingly nobody made a Pokemon thread so i guess that i will take the riends.
Like the other Megathreads we talk about the franchise i guess.

I loved it as a little kid and then sort of stopped caring, but it still holds a especial place in my heart.

My friends and I were fucking nuts about the anime, and we watched the first three seasons together — nothing will ever come close to that experience.

Same, i played the shit out of Fire Red and Emerald.
Now i'm more neutral about the franchise.

Same, the series came out when I was a teen, my siblings & I enjoyed it very much.
I still play mind you, just not willing to fork over cash for a Switch 2!

Also it was my introduction to emulation, since Fire Red is one of the first videogames that i played (also my name, Archienine, is related to it)

I loved the games as a kid, and I kept up with it until whatever the last one on 3DS was, and then dropped out of the series on Switch... with one exception. The last game in the series I played was Pokemon Legends, just because it was different from the usual stuff. I don't mean the new Pokemon Legends game that just came out, I mean the first one. Every other Pokemon game on Switch? Haven't bothered with them, and I have no plans on getting a Switch 2 so... yeah.

If I do jump into another Pokemon game, it'll probably be a ROM Hack. I'm thinking of trying out Pokemon Lazarus, actually. It looks like something that's more up my alley.

Edit: Just to clarify, I'm a Gen 1 kid starting with Pokemon Yellow. It was literally the first video game I ever owned.
