I didnt see a thread here, but the OG Black ops 1 and 2 got released on the modern (and not that modern) Playstation systems. Not a remaster, not a remake, just a cheap port that cost $25 bucks + a pizza to develop.
Is a scam? Yeah. Should you get it? If you are itching for online CoD then absolutely.
I know, unpopular, I just told everyone to jump and get the scam that is buying a 15+ year old game + its season pass. And I wont be like 'Oh, you see, this will send a message the we want classic CoD', nah fuck that crap... The truth is that I used to get almost every CoD on its peak, starting with Black Ops 1 on the Wii (yeah, I didnt had a 360) until like MW22. Live service, season passes, all that crap just kill the fun of the game. But not here, this is raw classic CoD.
Sure, on PC we have Plutonium but everyone saying it is the same never even bothered to play there. I use to play BO, WaW and BO 2 on Plutonioum (nobody plays MW3 there, so I cant even do anything there) and there is not that people on BO1 and WaW and for BO 2, I hope you like Nuketown 24/7 or stupid rules like 'NO LAUNCHERS! suffer my killstreak'.
I know Im just repeating myself, but this is such a lazy port that it is just raw Black Ops, and the best part: people are playing their part too with cool (or shitpost) emblems, trash talking on lobbies, voting maps, etc... Just like it was on 2010-. No fomo events, no stupid skins, just fun and rage like the old days. I hadnt play with by brother games in a long while, but thanks to this we played until 3am and didnt realize it.
So yeah, it is a scam and you will be also correct in not buying it (I really mean it), but as far as today it is the best way to play some no bs CoD without suffering the dangers of playing on PC, the hackers on the OG MW2 (on consoles too btw), or the small lobbies of the older consoles.
So it is damn fun, and sadly probably the best CoD we have in like half a decade, and I dont think we will get anything better after this. Not without any kind of microtransaction or ingame store. I at least know that Im not getting any other CoD anytime soon.
