Do you think Nintendo will ever cave in at some point and consider putting their games on steam?

Lmfao
No, they're Nintendo you silly.
Not some low brow, cheapo company like Sega.

They would sooner host their own website to do that, but still wouldn't risk putting products on a website that someone could figure out how to hack and steal all their work.

Hence why they still make physical games their priority, such as with Switch.

For most people, Nintendo is the only reason they still buy consoles. Almost every company values digital store shelves but Nintendo all ways seems to just be the most coy.
Not a Chance, as hard core they are on Piracy with their Consoles, they would have a aneurysm with PC Stuff, as easy as it is to Yo-Ho it.

And That would Cut into there Sales, big time. how much is a Switch still? XD

if Nintendo where to use 1 Quote from any Character ever Mr. Krabs "Hello, i Like Money"

So will The big N ever put their stuff on PC?

Barring a colossal change in fortunes, like the upcoming Switch 2 not selling a single copy, it's not happening. They consider their first-party titles the crown jewel of the company, and for pretty good reason. For as long as they make consoles, they'll make exclusive games.

I sincerely doubt it because Nintendo's biggest asset right now is its hardware. Giving up even a fraction of the income produced by it in exchange for reaching a larger userbase is a devil's bargain I feel that they couldn't live with.
Like Waffles and TenderLad said, their hardware IS their biggest source of revenue, and (to the general public) the only way to play their games. As huge as piracy is, we are a relatively small group of people compared to paying customers. Something you will rarely, if ever see is Nintendo offering sales on anything, ESPECIALLY their own first-party games. This ensures that while they are possibly losing out on a lot of sales since most of their games are still full price MANY years after release, in their eyes they are A: making the most profit possible, and B: using the pricing as part of their brand; their products stay full price because their brand is known for quality, and offering anything on sale is basically them saying that it's worth less now than it was back then.

I do think that they will eventually learn that they can simply make more money by offering their games officially on pc, but I don't see that happening any time in the near future, at least for half a decade. Who knows, maybe the Switch 2 will be a flop and Nintendo will have to "switch" their business strategy.

I don't think it will ever happen. The only way Nintendo has of leveraging their own influence is having their own little ecosystem; if the floodgates ever opened they would start pushing a lot less hardware, not to mention they wouldn't want to pay Steam's extortionate cut (they want to be the only extortionists).

what are you talking about, their games are already on pc

Well people would say some years ago that nintendo will never have the typical DLC and online practices of the other companies, that they would never do this and that... in the end they always catch up with both good and bad modern industry practices, so who knows?

Yahyah, in all seriousness Nintendo wouldn't want to affect their hardware sales by doing that! They're pretty successful all things considered, they're not what they used to be sure but they aren't Sony of California (vomit emoji) or what's become of poor Sega. If Nintendo ever crashes and burns MAYBE they might license out their games but that won't be any time soon. The Switch is still selling quite well even today across most regions and it came out in 2017!! It's insane when you think about it.
