PS3 Do you still have a PS3?

I have a White Super Slim 500GB model and still use it since I jailbroke it and I have to say, it's (almost) the ultimate first decade PlayStation (PS1-PS3), being able to play PS1, PS2 (through software emu.), and PSP (also through software emu. but to a lesser degree than PS2) but it keeps constantly freezing for some reason. *sigh*

Yes. The cheapo looking super slim. That plastic drive door feels like it came from the dollar store. Anyway, I still use it. In fact I only recently started playing it more.

Never had one in the first place. I did consider getting one for a while a few years ago but I kept hearing they're prone to needing repairs so I never did get one.

I have the one with the top that slides open, that I've used for maybe three hours total ever. Now I've also got my dad's 60gb fat with all the bells and whistles too, it's going to be cleaned up and then idk after that.

Still have my Slim stashed away from the closet, rather than leaving it collecting dust bunnies. If I ever had the time, I'm giving it a very deep clean and replace paste/pads while figuring it out why the disc driver often doesn't read discs.

I recently acquired a used PS3 Slim and i have been able to play many great games like MGS4, Persona 5 and Sleeping Dogs thanks to the magic of HEN ::winkfelix but i have to format and reinstall the firmware two times already due to the constant crashes of the system

Yeah. I still have a PS3. Got it about a decade ago. It's one of the slim models that a permanent CFW can be installed on. Haven't used it in years though. Probably need to clean it out and do some refurbishing (compressed air dusting, heatsink repaste, better/quieter fan, etc).

yes!!! its in my gamer/party area and i use it for rock band 3! i have a ton of custom songs and the rock band mic too! its very fun when people come over :D

My second slim's GPU died a year or so ago so I bought an "untested" $14 super slim from Goodwill and it worked perfectly.
thats how i got my first ps3!

I bought one a few years ago to play NieR, El Shaddai, AC:FA, Tokyo Jungle, MGS4, Demon's Souls and Drakengard 3.
I got my money's worth. ::terriermon-happy
Honestly a great console despite what everyone always says, also has a lot of "classic" PS1 and PS2 titles in the store. (Chulip is on there!) ::peacemario

I used to have a launch model fat PS3 but it cooked itself alive playing LBP2, I loved that lil' thing, you could hear the jet engine spin up every time I entered create mode.

Because of nostalgia for my long dead PS3, a handful of years ago I went out of my way to get a Slim PS3 so that I could play the LBP and MGS series again. I'm glad I did it but it was VERY annoying, getting a proper moddable Slim PS3 requires staring at serial numbers and divining ancient spirits to see if something might play well with your exploit of choice. The modding process is janky, resources for it are scattered, and downloading the proper files for stuff like ReBUG is pulling teeth. Then fiddling with multiMAN to get things like DLC running without being online is a whole other can of worms.

I may have a very wonderful tricked out PS3... but it just sits in my closet now, can only play mgs3 so many times

I've got a well used Slim from back in the day and a Super Slim that I bought to do homebrew stuff with.

Yeah. Mostly just so that I can play Demon’s Souls again whenever I get a hankering for it.
Also MGS4 but I bought that game a decade ago and never played it.

I still have my Ps3 and it is still working fine I am even playing on it from time to time. The only thing I had to replace where the Controllers as they wouldn't charge anymore besides of that I have no problems.

Yeah same, I’ve had to replace mine with those clunky GameStop store-brand controllers.
Though I recently discovered that you can use PS4 controllers for it once you set them up properly.
