That's sort of complicated. I love finding them naturally, but I think everyone does. That feeling of "finally" when you're specifically shiny hunting is amazing, but... it's such a chore and can really drag.
Then there's the "Yay, I found a wild shiny!"... only for it to be a bad shiny. Like one that barely looks different, or is just absolutely hideous.
Also, increased shiny odds over the generations is two-sided. On one hand you can get your favorite shiny pokemon easier, and if the MAIN appeal is their appearance that's great... but it really kills the rarity hype. Shinies are so easy to get now it sort of robs them of something, which is why I think maybe we need secondary shinies; one that's more common but still unique (being the current shiny), and one that's back to suuuuper rare. There's still complications there, too... but I dunno, it just feels like it's time.
