Switch Do you Agree with the Switch 2 Price?

Looks like the average economist would say on supply and demand grounds that the Switch 2 was priced too cheaply if these eBay second hand preorder sales online are to be believed, with individuals paying $650-700.

In my opinion this problem is becoming one of the video game manufacturers making. The video game market has been nonstop arbitrage for the last 20 years on anything physical, be it hardware or software. The companies are horrible at predicting demand, release stupid limited edition digital only and physical games for reasons unknown. You don't see this in the movie market or the music market, because at the end of the day the product is always streamable even if there is a limited edition release. Heck, when was the last time you heard of anyone waiting in line for an iPhone? 2010? But with the video game makers its the same song and dance of not enough product and bots taking all supply like they're actually in the business of selling Supreme hoodies rather than mass produced millions of copies video games.

Incredible the Nintendo Switch 2 is just as expensive as a Playstation 5 and Pro. That's really crazy.

Technology is quite good, much better than 1 but the pricing kills it plus games cost $80.
I'm sure rich people can afford it at no problem but what about average joe. That definitely wont buy the system.
Having money does not mean you can be one should be silly with it. It is like an abusive relationship, you keep putting time, energy and money in to it, and they keep on smacking the person doing it about. (Stockhoome syndrome? Fomo?)

For me, buying anything should be some form of investment imho. I guess as the saying goes, a fool and their money is soon parted Sorry, meant no offense. But if we keep funding it, we are paying for the privilege to be abused.

We have to send a message to thee companies, to let them know that their abuses will not be accepted, and the only way they listen is with our wallets, funding things we agree with and that are consumer friendly.

I just do not agree with what N are doing here in many, many ways!

Even with food? I'm sorry but thinking only with investing even for consumable product cannot be always possible.

Well yes, when you buy food, your investing in the level of nutrition you take in to help you towards maintaining health towards your functioning goals. We can make good purchasing decisions based on this. Investment does not have to be for equity alone, but how much you get out of a thing imho.

Food Example in more depth related to me.
Speaking as some one who has health conditions, the first thing i think about when i buy / eat food, is how will this effect me? Historically my digestion can have problems, meaning issues with gut brain axies, and that means i may be unproductive for a day or so.

Do i buy it just for the taste, and no matter how bad i may want to, i look at what i can lose. So i invest (spend) in things i can consume for the now, so that i may enjoy the tasty punishment later when i have time to deal with the pain which comes with it.

Sorry, I assumed that by investment you meant that you bought games in hope you could sell them for a higher price.

Sadly on the Internet you get to see more people thinking of video games as products you could use like in trading than art or entertainment.

I see what you mean. And you are 100% right, a lot of those types tend to end up as scalpers and the like, and they mess up the hobble for the rest of us imho.

I do not, but even if I did, I'd never support Nintendo financially. It's an evil company which attacks other devs with their false claims in court. I hope it'll go bankrupt or stop doing that shit and apologize.

The Jetsons Money GIF
This is how it would feel like buying a Nintendo Switch 2 and that is how i would be after
No Money Animation GIF by Dot Cromwell

These companies in gaming are in for a rude awakening!

I been planting gold coins in fertile lands since 98... I'm still waiting for a good harvest...

Oh no! my bountiful lands have been expropriated by the Mario army... Seems they want to continue their research on the use of Piranha plants as weapons of war.

I would not put it past them. They may make the Piranha plants suit up and visit to make copy right claims.

They're opening law schools to plants now?... Next time my Shefflera will defend me in court I guess.

I feel as if the switch is overly expensive for what they put out. Most of their games should not be around 80 bucks and the switch itself is even worse. Depending on the one you get you risk having the most worse designed console imaginable with the new chore of having to spend 60 bucks to get new joycons every few months. Whatever they're going to release next will (i think) not sell much of as people now a days can't afford gaming anymore.

System price is fine.
Game prices is stupid.
Requirement of expensive high-speed SD card is stupid
Accessory prices are ridiculously stupid.
Lack of games on the actual carts. is beyond stupid.

Nintendo is going full retard.

The data isn't on the card?
Nope, you get a license on that card, and then the game downloads to your system, which is why you need high capacity and speed micro sd cards.
