Discontinued drinks or food that you miss

Wonka Bars! Does anyone else remember these!? I think they were introduced to promote that 2000s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory remake, but Wikipedia tells me they hung around until 2010 or so. They were a chocolate-covered graham cracker candy bar, but it was actually a full, unbroken graham cracker completely coated in high-quality chocolate. I haven't had one in about 15 years, but I remember them being crispy, buttery, and scrum-diddly-umptious. In fact, there's never been a Wonka-branded candy product I didn't adore.



Don't tell the guy in my avatar, but this was actually my favourite lemon-lime soft drink, and what I was going to mention coming into this thread. It had a subtler, deeper flavour (for a poisonous HFCS nightmare-beverage) than 7UP or Sprite, and served cold, stayed fizzy for way longer. You don't often get "fresh"-tasting sodas these days, but Sierra Mist definitely fit that remit. I miss it.

Man you’ve just a validated a childhood fantasy of mine. I had no clue Willy wonkas were real, even if they’re promotional bars this is fantastic. Wonder what they taste like.

These were my favorite treats as a kid. Always had these ready for school lunch until they vanished.

Those were specially when paired with Mountain Dew Baja Laguna Lemonade.

I actually still have a couple of cans of that pop leftover that I haven't drank yet.

I'll be a fat American and mention the deli trio. It had salami, ham, pickles, ceaser dressing, and provolone on grilled sourdough. It was great and(at the time) pretty cheap to get. It's easy to recreate, but the ingredients can get pretty expensive these days. Jack in the box sold it and got rid of it years ago.

I'm not familiar with that, but I bet it had some good burgers on the menu. I'm not sure if it's discontinued, but there was this habanero burger that McDonald's had on their menu a few several years ago but it's not there. Also their Sweet & Spicy Jam and the Mambo Sauce from around this time last year was pretty tasty too.

They briefly brought this back in the early 2010s. I tried it then and immediately understood why it failed — I don’t know if it actually tastes nasty, but when you’re drinking it, your brain is expecting a light, citrusy flavour, but your mouth gets weak Pepsi, and there’s a huge mental disconnect that makes it seem “dirty” or “rotten”. I think we’ve just been conditioned to expect that cola-flavoured sodas must look and act a certain way, and anything outside of that is wrong.
