During lunch, my date asked if I ever rejected someone.
My response was, "about as much as I was rejected."

When I was 29, I invited this gal I fancied to an autumn festival in our area, said she doesn't drink (neither do I) & politely declined.

At 34 (2 weeks before my vacation), I turned down a former coworker who invited me to watch wrestling (WWE) in the north east; I do not dislike wrestling, I just found her to be immature & flighty for her age(31).

I've gotta couple more that may or may not whelm you.

Regret it?
Steal their shoes & gave it to someone else?

Kind of, I guess. Senior year of high school a girl asked me if I would take her friend if she asked; I told her I had no interest in going to the dance. That was a true statement, but it was also a nice way for me to say no without saying I had no interest in her friend.

I've never rejected someone to their face, but I've also never been asked.....

I would be sad if I hadn't managed to meet my wife.

Yes, because I was a dumbass who thought that "better offers" would come.

I deeply regret it, too — I gratuitously, unapologetically both hurt someone and destroyed a bridge. Multiple ones, even.

  • I ghosted a girl because she told me she hasn't read Dune.
  • There was this girl at work who was into me, but, she wasn't my type at all, so, when she asked me out, I told her I was asexual.
  • I told a girl that she wasn't interesting at all, and that with a 5 min conversation I was already bored, wasn't even exaggerating, nothing but the truth.
  • I pretended I was schizophrenic and asked her if she was a lizard, mostly because intuition told me she wasn't interesting. Shame that one worked so quickly, would have been funny to see her face after dumping high tier schizo lore.

I have high standards, and I get bored of people very easily, I prefer that turning them down is at least funny, to me of course.

I've done it to two people in the past, and frankly I wish I had the gait to do it more. I have this weird curse that surrounds me which can make immature people suffer from flights of love spells and attraction for me, deeming me as a perfect person. It's such a headache, and more often then not it's a faint phobia that lingers whenever new people talk to me. Afraid that it's going to repeat itself.

yea back in the 6th grade some girl i played animal with sometimes asked me out. i said no, because i was anxious and didn't think i would be good in a relationship like that at the time.

sometimes i think that might have been a mistake, but we're here now.

I played ninjas vs pirates back then, there was this brash girl that insisted that we were together.
Pretty much this, with extra abuse!

i had an abusive "friend" that wouldn't leave me alone every summer. mostly verbal. he was just jealous i had things he didn't.

I'm 42 so yes a few times for several reasons.
Last time it was over her hairstyle.
I was open about it and politely explained that since she refuses to change her hairstyle I genuinely can't make any kind of dating/relationship work due to my prosopagnosia. She understood, kept being friendly for the year or so more we were in contact and kept coming onto me, but it wasn't met with any acceptance on my end, I simply can't function in any way, shape or form with someone sporting that hairstyle, I've tried.

I have prosopagnosia which leads to me being physically and psychologically unable to stand a certain look women have been aggressively going for in the past 15+ years.
The tight, pulled back hairstyle with massive foreheads revealed where they look completely baled, the hair completely stuck to the scalp, you can see their underhairs.
No woman in my family has ever done this, even the ones who don't do much with their hair, they can tie their hair, they can let it loose, some have longer some shorter hair. But I have never lived with someone who sports that look. As a kid/teen I'd ignore it (I'm 42), figured some girls/women wear their hair like that, it disturbs me but it's whatever I don't care about them one bit.
But then it became all the rage to a point where in my country it's basically the default look for a woman.
ALL I see with my prosopagnosia + bad eyesight is bald women with mask like faces.

It makes their faces look lifeless, mean even.

I've tried teaching myself to not be so disturbed by this look sexually and emotionally, physically and psychologically but the best I can do is ignore it, however I find no pleasure in being around a person like this.

Believe me I've been into women with all sorts of hairstyles, longer, (not too long), very short, but this is different, this is so....disturbing.

I've turned down a good amount of people over the years, some was just a bit weird and some were odd.

In my High School years I turned down my friend cause he just wanted to lose his virginity with me and I said "hell no!". Which made him distant himself with me soon after, I guess he just wanted to get laid or something. He didn't spoke with me after.
Another time was during my first job and a co-worker wanted to hang out and play games with me but also wanted to invite her kids. I turned that down cause I don't like kids and im not a babysitter.

I turn people for a variety reasons, mostly cause they either want to trauma dump me or pull me in with their bullshit. I don't have time for that.

Romantically no... '>'

Bro i don't even interact that much with girl ever since i entered college. But i do throw people while sparring, you know Command Grab type of shit.

And i was a firm guy who rejects any offer that may waste my money or time. Going into cafe? Nah no thanks, going to a convention while tomorrow we have a test? No thanks.
