Just saw Beatbreak episode 1. Holy sh*t, that was so gooooooood. Much better already than Frontier, hands down.

My main purpose was to ask which series you guys have all watched. So, yeah, if you did watched them all then yes, vote them all gladly!

Episode 1 is already avaiable on Crunchyroll (unfortunately) and Hulu. And easy to find on Nyaa and Aniwatch.

I don't know why the hell the western version has been butchered in the opening and dialogues.

The italian openings we luckily got are muuuuuuuuch better than the Digimon (c)rap. Tamers's one is the same of the japanese one but with lyrics changed. But adaptations is kinda choppy and looks like it is based on the americna one...? Especially for the evolution lines names (Rookie, Champion, Ultimate, Mega)

But adaptations is kinda choppy and looks like it is based on the americna one...? Especially for the evolution lines names (Rookie, Champion, Ultimate, Mega)

That one is pretty nice (even if it would fit a magical girl anime the best hearing how joyous it sounds).

Shame that 4kids and other companies did stuff to animes... Europe often had the US op in these years I think.

i have seen the episode, for now if i have to give a vote to it, it would be a 6, not bad at all, but not too good either, i'm waiting to see more episode to judge the series as whole thou of course, for now, it's fine

Really? I thought it was a solid 7. It was definitely way more enjoyable than lots of anime slop I had occasions in the last years to watch.
20 minutes that flew away very pleasantly. I'm still unsure on how to feel about the new Digievolution mechanics and the whole e-Pulse matter.
Also...uh, what we saw is basically the new Digiworld, right? So just a digital web world or something where adults can commit crimes with their own Digimons. I'm from Frontiers so I'm used to always perceive Digiworld as a whole unknown land full of mysteries and whatsoever.

i would not say that we already saw the digital world yet into that series, still definitely it is some digital place.

For now i got the vibes of digimon hunters mixed with savers from this series, e-pulse give me the digisoul vibe, and the "power up" system made me remember a mix of the card power up from tamers and xros up from hunters, this digital place i also think it could be somewhat similar to that of hunters, but it could be the digital world of the series too so we shall see, the episode was ok to me, but the start of it didn't had a positive impact, still this is just my first impression, it could definitely get better as a whole as the first episode did later on, so 6 because for now it's still too early to judge it from my point of view, it's not a bad start as a whole

I don't like that, especially in Last Kizuna, it's implied that once you made your choices in life the "infinite possibilities" thing that children have and adults don't just disappear, therefore making the bond between Digimon and its partner disappear.

In Pokémon you don't only see children as trainers. Always bothered me that there aren't enough adults (beside the original digichosens) with their own partner.

Yes, I did! I honestly thought it was a Last Kizuna prologue but...nope. It got me a little confused. Also am I crazy or Meiko just did a cameo there, got barely mentioned in Last Kizuna and that was it? No trace in 02 The Beginning.

In any case thank god that this bs was just an Adventure thing. Although, luckily, it doesn't mean as said before that Agumon and Gabumon wouldn't ever return to Taichi and Yamato (just not right away since in The beginning weren't present ).

it's not only Agumon and Gabumon that disappeared during last evolution, but they are the ones direcly shown disappearing, during the ending credits of the movie you see the other digidestined, and those that are not from 02, will be without a digimon because probably Yamato and Taichi where just the first two to see their digimons disappear, but not the last ones in that movie, only Hikari and Takeru of "01" will keep their digimons, as shown in 02 the beginning, so i think we could say that all of them will lose their digimons when they will grow up... but then again, the video i linked before show that the d3 are there and that all the digidestined have their digimons, so i would guess that 02 the beginning ending... will make no sense at all... while i can figure out a meaning to the digidestined digimons reappearing without going against the plot of last evolution, because in last evolution they feel they will one day meet their digimon again... and that encounter will happen because there is the 02 series ending so...

.........I think it was all done just for sending a strong message (aka leaving the childhood behind). At least with Last Kizuna, The Beginning was more a fanservice that let us see Daisuke and friends together again. Which made me honestly happy lol

the d3 disappear during that movie ending... and as you said... they just say they don't need the digivice anymore so the whole explanation of last evolution kizuna disappear as well... because the whole "possibilities" thing... won't work anymore with 02 the beginning plot...

and that's just another reason of why i think that movie is a mess... but i agree, it was created for the people that wanted more screen time for 02 protagonists, after all... in tri they almost are not even shown... and in kizuna they are there but not the "important ones", so they clearly wanted to give 02 fans something too... but from my point of view... the result is not so good at all... but i really like the opening of that movie, that was a good fanservice

It will take a while for me before deciding to start Savers. I just finished the Digimon Frontier movie and liked it.

It will take a while for me before deciding to start Savers. I just finished the Digimon Frontier movie and liked it.

frontier was a bit of a disappointment to me, i always heard bad thing about the series but i kinda liked some part of it, but then it gets suddently really bad... so i just tell you, savers is much better from my point of view, even if it takes a bit to start becoming really good, but anyway, take your time with frontier, and enjoy the good parts of it!!

Yeah, as mentioned I basically binged in these months all the first 3 Digimon series with a friend that was super into the franchise. But he refused to rewatch Frontier (especially for the reason you mentioned) and Savers as well for whatever reason.
