Dead game series you'd like to see come back.

Yeah, I never played any of the games past that point, either. They should have done more Edgeworth games, or perhaps a Gumshoe spinoff. I'm not really interested in any of the new characters or the steampunk nonsense.
Fuck, make one about Godot
Mmm-mmm, what a sexy man.

48 hours ago, I would've said Tokyo Xtreme Racer, but a new one just came out and it seems pretty solid!

So I will say... Panzer Dragoon Saga. I like the regular PD games just fine and another one of those would be fine, but I loved PDS and I'd totally play a game with those systems on a format where it could look super sharp and be much longer.

Also a new gun.smoke, please

Actually, now that you mention it, I would have played one about Mia Fey, too (for the same reason [except that she's a woman]). There were so many ways they could have continued that series' original story, and they went with... a permanent timeskip? And then a steampunk spinoff!? I don't know WHAT Capcom is on about...

Wow – the most recent original Ace Attorney game is EIGHT years old!? They've put out so many compilations, I've lost track! I'm surprised they haven't even announced a new one – surely the series is popular enough?
You'd think so, but even back then it wasn't even popular enough to get a physical release outside of Japan, unlike a certain tophat professor and his sidekick. I mean Layton is soon to get that new game that got announced a while back, but like you said dear ol Phoenix hasn't been at the office for 8 years now. Just compilation after compilation.

As if Capcom is teasing us like "You sure you want more AA?" **releases Great Ace Attorney collection** "Are you really sure you want more AA?" **releases Apollo Justice collection** "Are you really REALLY sure you want more AA??" **releases Investigations collection** Like come ON guys!!!

Same here, I would've listed it as well but after watching that trailer I mostly lost hope. I had played Evolution recently and it was certainly flawed but still reminded me of what could've been fixed in the future and possibly altered to be a better experience. Overall, I did enjoy it despite the issues I had with it. The new game seems to be too different from what I want from a new title.
wow, I had no idea about this new turok game.

Even just a mobile version would be nice. Everything else ive wanted like Battletoads or Toejam & Earl has had comebacks.

There's a lot, but I'll name the biggest ones I'd like to see:

MadWorld, 7th Dragon, Custom Robo, Breath of Fire, Blazblue (they planned reboots and yet we still don't have em), Mega Man ZX, Jumping Flash, Rosenkreuzstilette (pipe dream as fuck given the developmental issues with Freudenstachel), Thunder Force (this franchise could ended with peak but peak was scrapped for a bootleg and it ended with a whimper), Storybook Sonic games, Lufia, 7th Saga (really it would be enough to bring over Mystic Ark), Virtual On, Witch & The Hundred Knight, Exit, F-Zero, Mirror's Edge (actually it's EA, maybe it's better off dead), Bloody Roar, Darkstalkers, etc

This is where Okami would've gone but...

i'd like to see again

- more zone of the enders games
- more front mission games
- a prince of persia game
- a new wild hearts game
- a sequel to god hand
- same for viewtiful joe
- syphon filter
- new megaman game
- breath of fire
- dino crisis
- panzer dragoon
- new golden sun game
- new baten kaitos game
- more tenchu games
- a new power stone game

are some quick examples

Mega Man X was already mentioned, that's one.
Another that comes to mind is Breath of Fire.
Thirdly, though not a revival in the strictest sense, I'd like to see classic Monster Hunter on Steam (up to Generations Ultimate) and Soul Sacrifice Delta. The fact Freedom Wars got the treatment gives me a modicum of hope.

I want a legit new Phantasy Star game. Singleplayer focused, not like Online or Portable, and with the original Phantasy Star aesthetic (before modern anime influence) aka "Star Wars if it was a 90s anime". And I want it to be a REAL RPG, none of this modern "we turned this JRPG series into a hack n slash with AI controlled party members" sludge.

I also want the Xeno guy to stop making Xenoblade games and finish everything he had originally planned for Xenosaga.

Wish we could get a proper new Final Fight, SF6 world tour doesn't count. Feels sorely needed now that Beat Em Ups have been coming back.

In most cases I don't really want a sequel because the people who developed the original games are no longer around, and a sequel or "revival" would probably fail to capture the quality of the original. I would love to see more games ported/skilfully remastered.

I think what I would like most is for Capcom to finally do their own crossover fighting game. Forget Marvel.

Others have mentioned series I would like to see come back such as Katamari, Banjo-Kazooie, F-Zero and Panzer Dragoon but one that has not been mentioned yet is I would really like another proper Rayman game. I loved Origins and Legends back in the day so while a 2D game would be nice I really want another 3D Rayman. Loved both 2 and 3 and I think with modern graphics it could really look spectacular.

Another Donkey Kong would be nice. Absurd that the last entry in the series was 10 years ago! Like with Rayman I would especially like to see them try a DK title in 3D again. I was not a fan of DK64 but I think just make it more like DKC but in 3D and it could be really something special. Also if characters like Lanky, Tiny and Chunky come back utilise their special abilities way more. Maybe for the Switch 2? ?

Breath of Fire, Wild Arms, a return to Ivalice with either a new entry, or continuation of FFT or FFXII (a dead mini spin off series within a series?). Wizardry anyone? Honestly I think I have a bigger list for games I want squeals of that were just stand alone titles or never got a third game to properly call it a series.
