Crazy Taxi: World Tour

Looks and sounds like what you'd want from a modern Crazy Taxi game. Keep what worked while making it look current. Hopefully Bad Religion makes a return, too.

Looks pretty good! Gives me some real RGG Studio minigame vibes, especially with that fat stack of pizzas, or that fisherman hooking a shark. Crossing my fingers!

Resetera's losing their shit over this game using AI. Personally, I couldn't care less when it looks this good. None of these people cared when robots started replacing waiters at restaurants, but now technological advancement's coming for their white collar jobs and they're big mad.

Day one. That said, I loathe chromatic aberration and don't understand why devs use it.

I don't care the slightest about ResetEra but it's not a matter of "looking good" but "made with an actual human intent behind" as Art as a whole is fundamentally human with emotions and personal past experience, no algorithm taking from anything they saw online and making a patchwork from it.

In fact I'd almost say that this merely looks like more realistic with shiny reflection whereas the original still looks iconic and has a retro charm

Because repetitive tasks are mind numbing and aren't creative jobs. I even believe that being a waiter (or any other menial task) doesn't prevent from having a passion project outside of the job.

I remember a quote about AI that should have done the boring stuff while letting people express themselves creatively and sadly it will be the other way around...

Most jobs aren't "creative." I like how you just brush off people losing minimum wage and blue collar jobs to technological advancements. Not everyone is a creative type. Do they not deserve to work and earn a living? You're okay with them being replaced? And that's why I don't give an actual fuck when it happens to the artsy fartsy creatives. Sayonara!

my sense is tingling that they will remove all skill-based execution aspects of the game, crazy boost, stop, drift and limiter cut will all be a single button press.

Creativity is more than just a job. it forms and shapes our very culture. we shouldn't let it be controlled by soulless slop machines made by greedy corporations.

Do you really think someone working as a cashier at a supermarket or doing maintenance would prefer doing what they're currently doing? That minimum wage and blue collar aren't getting hurt after several years of doing their job? I'm not saying that everyone is a creative type but I seriously doubt that it's a good thing that AI is taking the more entertaining part of a job than the boring part.

People will always find a way for a job that isn't a strain.

This is basically the issue about AI currently. I'd rather have machines doing the cleaning than people that break their back...

The people relying on that paycheck wouldn't.

Anyways, carpenters, construction workers, plumbers, etc., A.K.A. labor intensive blue collar jobs, will survive, while all of your white collar workers will be utterly fucked. Womp, womp.

And how's that going?

theres better ways to help our culture than machines that steal human ideas and art and shit them out in soulless paste
They can do their art from home without having to work for a giant corpo. If they're good enough, they can make it on their own. Good luck!

SEGA reviving old "arcade" games is like a dream come true. I just hope it plays well and feels exciting. The pizza boxes + the random "video game-y" physics is hilarious. I can't wait for IGN to give it a 6.8/10 and say "it has bad and intuitive physics."

Ok, have fun with your AI slop. you'll miss those artists when they're gone
They can do it out of passion without corporate overlords breathing down their necks just like the jobless waiters. ::winkfelix Their art can still exist, they'll just have to sell it on Etsy. :loldog

Living by the paycheck isn't the best way to live and I hope most will find a way to get better financially.

Carpentry and other specialized jobs like that are at least having some variety yet repetitive tasks and straining one (like construction) is hurting after a while.

Also why are you happy that people are getting their creativity taken away? This is not only immature but disrespectful as it's thanks to art that we managed to thrive as humanity.

I like the pizza tower (yes I said it) but I hope that physics jank won't make it hard to properly play as an arcade game that needs precision.

Except they're not. They can go be creative on Etsy. Buh-bye!
Disrespectful is how you talk about jobs that aren't "creative" jobs. You find them completely throwaway. But won't I think of the poor wittle artists?

no ones yearning for blue collar people to lose their jobs, mate. you seem to have a vendetta to artists though. i want AI to improve peoples lives and help them, not replace them.
