Could Nvidea be cooking something with Sega?

I don't think sega is going to release a new console honestly, the thing is, Sega saved Nvidia in 1995 when they decided to invest 5 million dollars on nvidia in that year, they didn't have to do it, but they did anyway, nvidia was at the brink of bankruptcy and that extra money investment helped the company survive.

I also don't think any initiative would be lead by Sega.
On other hand, Nvidea has GPUs and lots of money to spend now and Sega has the knowledge and the exclusive games. These CEOs don't usually make appearances like this just for simple appreciation. It could be only that, though. But we can always dream and imagine, what if... :-)

One can dream, but I don't think it'll be the case.

SEGA partners up with a lot of interesting companies, though — their ties to legendary animation studio TMS always make me slightly giddy.

Well they could be acquired by Nvidea as one of its studios, like Sony did back in the 90s.

nvidia don't care much about games now. they are focusing in making ia chips and surf on this while it lasts.

and sega is not making good decisions too (truth be told, they never did), so i doubt they would be able to cook well this whatever idea they possibly had.

Probably one of the biggest retroactively stupid decisions in business was that they could've kept their nividia stock and make billions. Jensen even mentioned this in a past interview

I'd imagine it was just a bit of publicity, especially since they were showing off the new Virtua Fighter(?) on the laptop. Besides their games running on Nvidia hardware I doubt Nvidia really gives two rats about what Sega are doing when AI companies are literally pouring billions into them.
