I beat Twilight of the Spirits but could have never guessed from that description. It's one of my favorite PS2 RPGs, btw. The action rpg pseudo-sequel End of Darkness is weak though.

If you want an exhaustive list of PS2 RPGs your best bet is GameFAQs. Browse to the PS2, then pick RPGs under Category. A few games may be miscategorized sometimes - with SRPGs especially, you never know if they'll decide it's a strategy RPG or just a regular strategy game - but everything is there.
There are no "lost PS2 games". That's not a thing. The console was hugely popular in an era where the Internet was already established and its library is well-catalogued. The most obscure releases, typically, are Japanese games that only got an English release in Europe (happened with lots of budget games), but even those aren't lost.
As far as cancelled RPGs with playable demos, on the PS2, I'd be surprised. They'd almost certainly be covered on sites like Unseen64.net or Lost Levels.org. They have articles on cancelled games much older than that that only ever got like 3 screenshots printed in a Japanese magazine, so imagine a playable demo on the PS2.
There aren't a ton of RPGs on the PS2 with a female lead. Some of the Wild ARMs games come to mind. But if by "prominent protagonist" you meant "important female character", then that's every RPG.

Glad you found the game too. I played Twilight of the Spirits on Nethersx2. I thought the game had huge glitches but it turned out I should have had the graphics setting to Vulkan rather than OpenOGL, or something similar. The Arc the Lad games are enjoyable. Think they should have stuck with the original gamestyle & comedy and just made the world larger but definitely one of the better series.

There was this indie (?) game that I remember seeing some videos of in the past, and it was apparently some rpg/first person dungeon crawler or something that allegedly started production in the 90s but completed it in late 2010s. I remember seeing a screenshot of it that had blue wall backgrounds and such, but nothing else.

I remember play a 2D platformer for PC(Windows) when I was kid when my mom and my aunt(which is my father's sister) worked in an clinic and I played the game in one of clinic's PCs but I don't remember the name

some stuff that I vagely remember

-the title screen shows a boy(with a hat?) and an girl(blonde?)
-the first level is in a field with flowers and mushrooms(?)
-you can save some NPCs
-one of the levels is in the space

as the game had pixel art graphics looks like that was released during 90s

What year was it when you played? Aside from the title screen you mentioned, it sounds a lot like Cave Story (or the enhanced Cave Story +).

I played the game when I was 6-7 year old like 2009-2010

nope, it's not Cave Story(which recently I played this year, very good game)

the characters are human not robots and there's no shooting mechanics as I remember

the game i'm searching for came on a CD from an old italian computer magazine, whose name i don't remember (we don't want to make it that easy, do we?)

It run on Windows XP, and it was a platformer. Could also have been a Flash-based game, the graphics were somewhat cartoonish.

Now, a couple of peculiar details: each level was a single screen, i'm pretty sure of that. And one of the "worlds" (basically a collection of levels) was desert-themed, and i distinctly remember that the underlying music was a blatant ripoff of the theme from "Lawrence of Arabia".

One last thing: i think the controlled character was some sort of humanoid potato, or something like that, lol! but honestly i'm not so sure about this detail.

I remember you have a gun and the enemy at that point is almost invisible.

I played it in the early 2000's but the computer was old so maybe the game is older.

Man, that sounds like an awesome memory. I also used to play this game one a pc somewhere else. All I remember is that I loved it, but I don't remember enough details to find it.
