Best PlayStation Console? How would you rank them?

For me it’s the first PlayStation. I feel like the system has such a deep library of fun and ambitious games in most genres. Plus there’s a cool expiramental vibe going on since 3D on such a mass scale had never really been pulled off before. There were no real conventions for controls, encounter design, camera, lighting. Which does make a lot of games not really “age” well so to speak. But a lot of the time in a decent game it’s just a matter of taking some time to get used to a little jank, then the experience really opens up.

For me its more Complicated its either the Ps2 or Ps3 the Ps2 is mostly Nostalgia but had really good games like Tekken 4 on it but the Ps3 really has some bangers like the Last of Us and Vanquish and lets not forget the Original Dead Space

It's a meme guys ^^

What about Doom Eternal ?
Pretty much every FPS had to have a PC port, it's a no-brainer as the genre was literally birthed from and for personal computers. PS4 Had exclusives, I was just kidding. But the launch was almost barren. PS5 has the same issue, just even worse.

PS2, regardless of whether or not you count backwards compatibility. I like the Vita the most by a lot, but it's not the best unless you really like weeb shit. Even then, it's still not the best. And as much as it pains me to say this (I hate early 3D with a passion), the PS1 is in second place. Then the Vita if you count backwards compatibility, the PSP if you do not. Then PS4 (the 5 ahead of it if you count backwards compatibility, at bottom place below PS Minis if not), then Vita. Then PS3.

well the best generation was Ps3 and ps2 in my Opinion but the Ps4 had some Decent games Like Bloodborne and Ghost of Tsushima

Lets say without backwards Compatibility and each console has to stand on its own two legs and gaming library otherwise it would make the ps1 obsolete

PS4 - PS5 Great Consoles if you prefer them than a gaming PC

From best to worst:

PS2 - Just a great all around console with a fantastic library, and the last console to not have any modern bullshit before the PS3/Xbox 360 era changed everything. Many PS 2 games still hold up well today and have even been digitally re-released and in some cases remade (Odinsphere Leifthrasir).

PS1 - The games are a bit rough around the edges in terms of graphics and controls, but it's no big deal for those of us who were playing those games back when they came out and are used to that stuff. Some people miss this era. There are some indie horror games that look and play like PS1 classics. Again, we have a fantastic library here.

PS4 - Incredible library and the added bonus of VR games, though the helmet and camera have a ton of issues that made the experience a bit more annoying than it should be. We also have better discs (blu-ray). I place the PS 4 below the PS1/PS2 because it's a modern system with all of the annoying stuff that entails like broken games in need of updates, DLC, de-listed content, the annoying trophy system, games as service BS, microtransactions, pre order exclusive in game bonuses, etc.

PS3 - The console where many annoying modern things started to infect gaming, though you could put a lot more of the blame on the Xbox 360. The PS3 was a powerful system, to its detriment as many developers had a harder time programming for it than the 360 so third party games tended to have superior versions on the 360. The PS 3 totally dropped the ball on backwards compatibility. Another annoying thing about the PS3 was that some games didn't allow you to back up your save data. System had a great library though, like every PS system that isn't the PS5, and nice HD graphics. Also shifted games to blu-ray disc which was a better, more scratch proof format.

PS5 - Crap library (mostly PS4 ports), ugly UI and trophy images, no USB save data back up allowed, overpriced and unavailable for a long time, and that stupid, digital only version, I can just go on and on about what a disappointment the PS 5 is. Worst PS console of all time. I can't believe there is talk of a PS6 when it still feels like the PS5 never hit its stride.

If we throw in handhelds, the PSP was great. The Vita sucked, but largely because Sony didn't support it properly and too much of its library was ports.

For me:
PlayStation 2 > PSP > PlayStation 1 >> PlayStation 4 >>>>> PS Vita

Never had PS3 and PS5

Definitely the PS2. I don't really remember what game I played on it, but I had memories playing on the PS2. I gotta admit, the PS2 Menu is awesome. I don't have it anymore, but I wish i have one again.
