Hello pals, always yours truly here. Today I ask you the 10 best beat'm'up games in your opinion: honestly this was the best genre of games to play as a couple of players, against the CPU, in bars and arcades in the nineties.
Ohhh... so many beautiful memories! However, console titles are also fine and you can name them freely, especially since younger people have never known arcades. Two clarifications; 1) I mean horizontal scrolling games, not fixed screen ones ( fighting games); 2) I mean the official original titles, not those created by fans for OpenBor or similar. Here they are:
1) Final Fight series (snes,arc);
2) Golden Axe series (md,arc);
3) Cadillac & Dinosaurs (arc);
4) Captain Commando (arc);
5) Street of Rage series (md,arc)
6) Sailor Moon series (arc, snes);
7) Double Dragon (arc);
8) Sengoku series (ng,arc);
9) TMNT (arc);
10) Violent Storm (arc);
Out of the ranking now came to my mind "The Simpsons", really bizarre and funny title.
Well, there are many other compelling and engaging ones, but I'll leave them to you to list. Do younger people still like these pseudo-3D games? Aren't they more beautiful and colorful than the more modern and realistic 3D ones?
Don't be shy, let me know your tastes.
