Backstory behind your avatar?

The Rhythm Heaven/WarioWare games have such cool and appealing artwork! Really simple but iconic.

If you have a good sense of rhythm, you're in my book.
I do, played vocaloid, muse dash, Yakuza and other stuff. And book of what? Hopefully not the book of idiots, I’m probably already there. :p

I love him so much. He’s a dimwitted but valiant knight you have to inadvertently help through the game, you find him stumped in front of puzzles at several locations. He has a later quest too which is pretty sad :(

You should read all my posts in his voice

Internal monologue:
"I need something for my avatar. How about a cute female character?
(Sounds good.)
Eroge!
(You can't use that.)
Oh, a screenshot from Possessioner, the legend of great retro gaming graphics!
(That's eroge, you fool.)
Okay, a hot female game character... in a suggestive pose.
(You are a moron.)
Fine, we'll put this off for a while and come back to it when my mind is in a more appropriate place."

Some time later:
Thread: Post your wifu.
Me: Posts and realizes that these pics could make good avatars.

Thus, we have the timeless OG hot glasses-wearing tomboy, Velma, in anime form.

I knew it and just didn't want to say anything.

Incredible stories like this are why I made this thread

It's from the OG Final Fantasy, NES version. I don't know why I sometimes used it back in the 2000s when I spent lots of time on forums, but I did. Although the file name says Grey Imp and I thus thought as such for many years, it's actually a Goblin Guard. I also like using Garland from the same game. I still have a bunch of small icons and signatures from back in the day, I imagine I'll switch to using one of those every now and then.

I like Miku.

For the sake of a better story, I'll add that as a teen nothing had made me feel more "seen" than Wowaka's work in the Vocaloid scene which made me a lifelong Miku and Vocaloid fan. I adore that Vocaloid allows indie musicians who may not get noticed otherwise a chance to get their work out there.

WOWAKA ? may he rest in peaceTwT

I know, I was devastated when he passed. I still choke up a little when I listen to Unknown Mother Goose. It feels like he knew he wasn't long for this world and came back to the Vocaloid scene to make peace.

Sonys the bomb nigga
"P-S-Triple!", "'Super Smash Bros.'...? It's not really your brother!".

snes games apparently have a size range from 2-48 mb. mmx2 is about 1.50 mb in size.

i'd say based on the picture that you uploaded; the real reason that she was cut is that she is too hot for the player to handle. if Dr. wily finished working on her, i would have joined his team.

no regrets. Dr. wily for the win.
An old proverb says 'between the saying and the doing there is the sea' and to explain it right away, it's true that for the some Super Famicom cartridges were released with an incredible amount of Mb compared to the usual games for this ecosystem, but this meant raising the retail price as well.

Because by the end of the last century, the cartridges had become quite expensive as a storage medium (just look at the highway robbery price Capcom set for its last 'Street Fighter II' for this platform or even the fact that 'Fatal Fury Special', which was somewhat 'crippled' in terms of megabits when it was exported to the West).

yeah, from the brief bit of researching that i did, it seemed like costs were the main barrier to using a lot of storage space. more space = more money. in the end, it was probably more helpful considering how many snes games are still played today. most modern games have save files bigger than entire snes games and are barely worth one playthrough.

my pfp is a pic of some Pinky:ST figures, a jp exclusive fashion doll line from the 2000's. I've been seeing them online since i was a kid & thought they were sooo cool cute and mysterious, like seeing a unicorn in some way lol
I started collecting a few over the summer after going down a rabbithole of seeing them pop up on ebay & depop for very cheap.

there were quite a few licensed video game & anime figures. Here's sakura from sakura wars (i just broke her sword trying to affix it to her hand the other day and im still pissed about it lmao) next to another figure wearing the top portion of sakura's battle outfit.

idk if there's a comparable toy line that lets you indulge in the delightful crime scene of taking these things all the way apart to mix & match them. they really were like polly pocket on steroids with the ways you can customize these.
its hard to find more images of the dolls from my pfp, i think theyre actually garage kits which were very popular for this series

Despite being an 2000s person I haven't seen them before. Still they're cute. Also I have a huge nostalgia for 2000s despite being being an '80s kid.

My usual pfp is quite different but since the site placed restrictions on political pfps I had to find something else mostly final fantasy related , looked up my final fantasy pc background collection and put whatever fits in , well faris and reina we go! My favorite pirate tomboy and skilled dancer that spoils animals too much.
