Backstory behind your avatar?

Hey @Yousef! Your current avatar is awesome! I love it the best so far! šŸŒŸ
It has a lot of personality! strong, funny, serious, mocking, humble, kind, calm, well-balanced, cryptic, and more!

I think it's very well-suited for you. šŸ˜ƒ
Ah hahaha, thanks a lot dude! Now this is a compliment I was truly caught off guard by (and I already donā€™t expect most compliments so good job youā€™ve outdone yourself LOL)
Thanks, Iā€™m pretty flattered. I check threads before checking my notifications box so it was WILD seeing this message pop haha, made me worry I almost missed it (but nope, my notification box picked it up this time)
Haha thatā€™s a really creative message you wrote. I didnā€™t expect it left that sort of impression but youā€™re right actually! It does have those emotions you mentioned. Itā€™s also worth adding itā€™s meant to be complimentary with @RageBurner ā€˜s avatar change to a smiling avatar. A change he got inspired by when he saw my message in mental health thread. Funnily enough, his change inspired me back to change to a smiling avatar, so weā€™d match (itā€™s part of the funny running joke that weā€™re a buddy cop duo which is why our custom titles match)

Once again thanks JL123! Iā€™m really bad at not repeating myself sorry haha. Words tend to escape. But I always aim to return kindness with an equal kindness. Unfortunately, itā€™s getting difficult to match your level of positivity! Youā€™re so kind, itā€™s impossible for any of us to keep up! Youā€™ve become a valuable member of this community and helped it prosper. We all need a healthy dose of positive reinforcement to keep us going haha.

To repeat myself again, I like how you worded your message! Not only were you creative with your use of words, making me feel even more flattered as is, but youā€™ve highlighted all the qualities I love about Isshin from Bleach! I need to do full rewatch of bleach one day haha. Isshin was the best character by far, he has EXACTLY all the qualities you mentioned so you did a good job of nailing them down.

I have a lot of role models in life. Kiryu, Kazuma, Niko Bellic, Jimmy Hopkins, Max Payne, Naruto Uzumaki, Chuck Greene, Guts and so on. Isshin is kinda like Chuck, an amazing dad and a pretty manly dude. I wanted to use a character I both aspire to be and feel I could relate to and he matched those. I think Isshin is somewhat close to how I look IRL too as Iā€™m often told I have a larger than life presence to me and thatā€™s how I feel about Isshin haha!

Your message was wonderful and it made me happy. I canā€™t put it into words haha, I never expect compliments so they always surprise me. Nicely worded message, Iā€™ll end my message now too cuz I still canā€™t find the words I wanna say haha. Iā€™m really bad at speaking from the heart but I try my best!

With that said, take care. I kinda just woken up from a nap and forgot to finish an article I was about to publish haha.

Cheers.

The second best character in Bleach (Urahara is better). I love how he's look in this frame (except his nose), his design in TYBW it's so impressive

I have a lot to say because we have to go back to 2019.

So a year at this point there was this musician who did music for a game, and about every month he would make a video with his little character with a mixture of shenanigans and actually talking about his personal life of what's been going on and then a QA section where he picks 20 questions to answer at the end. Well, He was looking for voice actors around June/July and managed to get a role alongside my Fiance getting a role and this is where the entire thing busted wide open to us of what he was trying to do with his characters. We both had like, One character to voice each and they were actually part of the main cast of characters but there was a whole ass story that I got really involved with learning and knowing, Which I ended up knowing just about all of it compared to what was actually revealed. Something that sucked though is that by the time we got on the team he barely did this whole monthly segment. There was plans and voice lines that were prepped but were never used at all which actually sucks. By around like, Janurary 2020 or sometime before that he finally makes one where he ended up using the characters... Only for us to not actually voice them for some reason. What's really bad is that it was the last time he ever did that video and it's now been 5 years since.

So during this time of waiting around, A year went by and he had an idea for us to basically make our own characters for the story. This spawned one of my characters named (Axel) who ISNT my PFP here actually but it's important to acknowledge it for later! So, I did my best to come up with ideas but also kinda fantasize the ideas around this character interacting with his characters. I really liked this one particular character a lot, So much that I would draw her quite a bit! Well, One feature she had was that she was this half human half ringtail lemur (Basically having ears and tail of a lemur). I thought the concept of this was actually really cute and I adored it! Pretty much why my artistic skill became so good with time was because of this one, particular, character.

Come 2023, There's still no voice lines for us to do nor anything with our characters. The person is very frustrated at his own project and stuff, Eventually he settles with the Idea to go ahead and make the entire project into a game series with a bunch of side games. This is where things took a steep turn on how I viewed this project as a whole since he had no experience making games prior to this. This was turning a project from some video series that used puppetry to full on Video Game. Don't get me wrong, I didn't have an issue where it was just some side games that could compliment, but being there for 4 years and only to restart by doing something that would take way more time and energy and effort to make made me end up leaving the project as a whole. It's kinda weird thinking that this year it would be 6 years in June and I hardly see any updates on what he's done since then.

Anyways, After a month of leaving, I really missed drawing that character. However, I learned from my Fiance and others that I could take inspiration. So, I made the character that's currently in my PFP. Though it was commissioned to a friend to make like a pixel art gif of her! So yeah, That's Lumia in my PFP. Ever since I made her, She became like my favorite character to draw, like ever. That's the story!

That's the simple/simplified answer. I suppose you could blame SEGA for making things unclear/muddy. There is a lot of misconception/misinformation. But I believe the character's backstory used to be very different. Shadow's backstory as seen in the game was only written not so far before they released the first trailer material and at that point he was kind of just black sonic but already past the initial Terios designs.
Yes they played back and forth with the idea of confusing with sonic and this and that. but that wasn't even always the point of the terios character. So its not that clear cut like some people make it out to be and basically the sonic copy was *only* the very initial design. I do believe that the one in my avatar, the version from sonic x shadow generations, might have even been the intention of the quills with one of the famous renders. It just changed over time and people can just treat it as different haircut. My own hair changed like that too over time. I now have way long hair but I used to have it more like what you see in the avatar more than decade ago.
In fact there's often practically no difference between this fictional character (the original "shadow" idea) and me. Which is very strange, its like...Matrix. Like in Matrix Resurrection kind of thing. or it has to do with things like people using dreamcatchers and getting their ideas from there into their dreams, bits of pieces of real world making its way into...fiction
I am quite confused/conflicted about this to be honest.

We kind of predicted the appearance at sonicxshadow generations though when someone joked to me I can become a DLC. That was months and months before the announcement. I only became aware of the name/character history after going through searches after a particular dream, which is strange.
And because I noticed a pattern of some people IRL being similar to sonic characters. Not all people, just the ones from my original circles...
Heh, I thought I was the only one..

I like painting and Nick Diaz so I painted Nick Diaz lol. It's sitting on my desktop everyday and looks wayy better small than it does big so its my goto whenever I'm asked for a profile picture. Since I painted it, it feels more personal too....

(also NICK DIAZ ARMY, NICK DIAZ 125, STOCKTON 209, NICK DIAZ NEVA LOOOOOSE, WHERE YOU AT GEORGE?!?!?! and stuff)

My current avatar is the album cover for a late 80s-early 90s R&B group called Entouch. It's self titled and their second (and afaik final album). They were never huge but did have a couple minor hits (one of them featured Keith Sweat). I vibe with their sound and this album cover in particular, which is why I chose it to be my avatar. I've only been able to listen to a few songs from the album on youtube (I'll probably have to buy it from amazon or something as I doubt it'll ever get added fully to youtube or added to spotify or something).

I wanted a cool avatar for my Youtube channel. My favorite Sonic character is Tails, so that somehow gave me the idea to make my avatar a wolf person. The line going from my eye to my mouth is a silicon trace to suggest I have cybernetic implants, furthering the computer theme. The goofy smile with teeth showing are to imply mischief, as my sense of humor tends to be chaotic and sometimes a little edgy, but not malicious. Mostly just 2000s Adult Swim humor and memes. It's also a reference to Edward's grin and Eggman's logo design, so my logo is easy to slap on things, like a slap your moms ass.

Rhythm heaven debuted on the NDS.
Nope you're WROONG, It actually started on the GBA as Nintendo's last game for the system, Japanese exclusive Rhythm Tengoku (just heaven in Japanese) is the first game in the series, and it's just, if not, better than DS. get it immediately if you haven't! If you have a good sense of rhythm, you're in my book.

Huh, I do remember Rhythm Tengoku actually. I should play it if itā€™s translated. Wonder how the gba handled the gameplay.
