Categories... What do you have in mind?

A General Computer section

We need a computer section that not just talking about games, but computers in general. Like specs, Linux, other operating systems & tech help.

This is more of a suggestion than a question, but since we're on the topic of categories, I'd like to see less of them actually. The Online Gaming section specifically.

It's kind of confusing. People see the category titles, but make threads that aren't online related. The Board & Card Games section probably has the most of these. I also feel like there aren't enough threads made there to warrant all those different categories.

You could combine them into one and put it under the Gaming Talk section. And maybe a category under that for people who want to find groups and play together since I've seen a few of those types of threads. It would look like this:

Yes, I have been guilty of some of that as well.

For a while there, we tried to model RGT after a super famous (sadly long defunct) forum that went category crazy back in the day and that it simply kept adding them because it made so much sense (think super niche stuff like a cellphone category and a LARPing category)... But I'm afraid we ended up making a ForumJar-like mess instead.

I don't know how we would go about it, but it's definitely a valid concern.

This might come across as a cop out but most of us don't decide that at all. It's up to the Repo curators. I, for instance, have nothing to do with the Repo at all other than policing the comment section every once in a while.

Make a thread requesting the game here. Be specific and please remember that they are a small team, so don't expect them to give you a time-frame. :]

But what if I already uploaded the thing? Wouldnt it be redundant to add a request?

You can link to your thread in the "Downloads" section wherein you provided the link to the game you wish to see added to the Repo, but please be advised that the Repo Curators are unlikely to add the game using the file that you are hosting elsewhere, mainly due to security concerns.

in " The Repo" section their are not many ( if at all ) complete rom packs in one file for each system (that will play on pcsx2) - it would be nice to get an "all in one" here instead of having to go to archive.org ( i have noticed many of those don't work 100% anyway)

20ish years ago, the old SRK forums had a forum arcade. Simple flash games, as I recall. It was probably a feature on other forums as well, but I only ever saw it there. Is this a thing that's possible here?

Dunno how feasible the concept is as a whole but considering the fact that Flash has been dead for years now it definitely won't work the way it used to way back when.
