I think i need to darken the clothes and smooth out the colors a little more (annoying part of using colored pencils, its hard to do smooth, even colors). But I like the idea. What do you think?

This one actually just looks & feels a lot better, maybe because there's less of the canvas showing, or more gradient, can't really pinpoint it. Seems like colored pencil drawings have their own tricks!

you tell me, I suck at drawing bodies, lol. I need to work on my anatomy and figure practice. But that's on top of a thousand things I have to get better at.

Edit: if you mean the yellow things on his arms that's just how he looks.

All fair, I mostly draw still lifes and portraits. Haven't dabbled into poses, figures or anatomy yet. This was mostly from memory too. Only way to get better is to make mistakes. Honestly, I don't fully understand how people design their OCs from memory without making multiple mistakes. They must have studied a lot or are more talented than me.

Edit: Looking at it carefully I think I made the arms too thick. They are kind of variable depending on if they are super charged or not, but normally they are thinner. Also the body is not perfectly symmetrical and the brain is good at detecting that.

Actually, his arms are pretty huge and weird looking at times in the anime. Its hard to get right the look. Should've used a reference for the drawing. But yeah the torso is way bigger in this reference than in my drawing. I think the torso is a bigger problem than the arms.

i've been thinking about playing the star ocean games. thanks for a preview of what i'm in for.
she also looks like a proto-bayonetta. which is a very good thing. Cereza is one of my favorite magic users.
