Title, how many games do you play at once? I personally try to stick with about 3. Generally one PC game, 1 console game, and then something more arcadey or replayable.
I find that sticking with just 1 game doesn't do it for me very often, but sometimes if I'm in a phase where I'm watching more movies or reading more, or just generally busy, it's fine. Having several games on one system also kinda gives me analysis paralysis these days... Any more than 3 games anywhere though and I normally forget one exists at all and won't play it for ages. Hell, I haven't touched Tomb Raider in a couple days now!

Right now I've been playing the Tomb Raider 2013 reboot as my "main game", Tyrian 2000 (some of you on here turned me onto this game yesterday!) as a side, more arcade-like one for just chilling out, and Metroid Fusion.

I don't know but i always have 1 main game and several random games. Right now the game i seriously wanted to finish was minsh cap

but i also play some FTL, Into the Breach, FF tactics MMZ and several other game if i got bored or just wanted to change pace when playing minish cap

Either 2 or 3, I pick a main game to focus on the most, and switch to the other ones when I want to take a break, or get overly frustrated.

I also do the dailies in my gachas as another form of short break from the main one.

I do around 6-10 generally speaking. I do play a lot of JRPGs, which are easy to set down and come back to later.

Right now it's the original Doom (and custom WADs)
Chasm: The Rift
Myst
Atelier Meruru
Dragon Quest V
Final Fantasy IV
Xenoblade Chronicles 1
Felvidek
It Could Happen To You
And the occasional run of Streets of Rogue

Only two, sometimes.

If I have a main game that's active, I might also have a ScummVM title running.
Tuesday for example I was playing Nuclear Dawn and Broken Sword.

i try to stick to just one then i lose control then it ends up being like 5+ maybe only one of them getting played to completion

1-3. I would mainly focus on one giant game and if I have enough time play, I would play around 5 classics from my childhood.

1-3 mostly so I don´t burn my self out playign and and the same for hours JRPG are long as hell.
But if the game is super fun and not that long I can focus on one took me 2 days and 20 hours to beat Stellar blade and it was the only game I played does 2 days.

So it honestly depends on the game it self.

One, though technically probably hundreds at this point. Really I can only play one game, but I tend to consume a rather large amount of media, which usually gets me in the mood for something else well before I reach the ending of my main effort. And since I now apparently have ADHD in this modern day. I guess it would be different if my choice of entertainment outside of audiobooks is crap on Youtube, with my current favs being speedrunner channel content (Grand POObear and Kosmic), obscure Japanese PC games (Basement Brothers), and long form historical-style content (Majuular and GTV Japan). Even for the "quick read before sleep" content is gaming (CRPG Addict). I suppose I should unplug, but it's kind of hard, lol.

The amount of times I've sat down to try a game for 5 minutes, just to put it down and say to myself "That's cool, I'll come back to this someday" is staggering. Any every time I say it it's a filthy, filthy lie.

On record, I end up finishing the most games in October, since that's when I make an effort to schedule all my Horror games to play. 2 years ago, I hit an all time high with Silent Hill 1, Resident 3 (remake), Resident Evil 4 (HD), and both Parasite Eve 1 & 2 (failing to realize they were Christmas games) all while playing torturing myself with Dead by Daylight. But even during all that, I still started Silent Hill 2, 3, Origins, as well as The Suffering, and never finished them. I mean, I've already beaten SH2 on a different memory card, but like, that was years ago. Ironically, it was my first time beating the first SH. go figure.

Worst case of backlog I had (aside form Steam) was when my old over 1000 block memory card gave out and I lost all of my fucking data for every game I have ever played on that system. A real tragedy, never fully recovered for it. Always backup your data, always save. Never resetti, never forgetti.

Mmmm... maybe too many.

Letting some online games aside, I have my side work of gachas that start my count of current games at 3.

But maybe like 6-8?

Some of them are sandboxes so there is no 'finish' in them. Just until I got bored.
