Been super busy with school again but here’s two wips and a doodle

One of my classes is film photography which has been super cool so far. Haven’t gotten to process film yet but I’ll be doing that this week. I have done a bunch of pin hole photos though

Currently working on my art diploma (technically in the university art transfer but same classes) , I’m planning to transfer those credits for a head start on a visual arts major in the future.

That's pretty cool. I wanted to study art but my high school didn't prepare me for it and I was intimidated by painting and such. I'm learning far more from Youtube than I ever learned in my high school. Wish that had existed when I was growing up.

I’ve actually been thinking about doing teaching art after I finish school.

Especially with the rise of generative ai I’ve being feeling teaching people how important or enjoyable creating something yourself can be is extra important. Plus how impactful it can be to have a good teacher. As I’ve moved forward in life I’ve really come to appreciate my high school art teacher and every other good teacher I’ve had- it would be really nice if I could be that for at least one person.

And other reason but this it the main one, since I’m an awfully sentimental person

But I won’t be out of school for quite awhile so I’ll have lots of time to contemplate

That's a good idea. There will always be people who want to learn how to make art, even if the value of art itself is not appreciated by the majority of the public. Plus teaching art is not that straightforward. From my experience, there are plenty of people who can make art but are terrible at teaching it. Especially if you are dealing with young people who are unsure about their path in life and lack self confidence. There's a fine line between pushing someone to improve and making them feel like they have no talent. And most artists tend to be lacking in social skills and are kind of grumpy. I get it, I'm like that myself sometimes, lol.

I think you get the value of a great teacher, so you are on the right path.

I was focusing on hair last week (& probably will for the next bit!) and drew some pretty embarrasing stuff but some looked great. Went with this one, still mistakes but looks good overall!

Cyberia Heart and JUN13 are going to the beach!

I drew this as part of joining a collaboration—it's for a collage with other OCs at the beach, which would look something like a "Where's Waldo" pic once it's all compiled.

It's also a revisit of an earlier illustration. The humanized version came first years ago:
