This is a collection of the 3 Legend of Zelda games for gbc, using hacked versions of each game. Converted to GBA using goomba. Made by RichterWilker. It consists of Oracle of Ages, Oracle of Seasons and Link's Awakening. All games have VWF fonts, for better text reading. Link's Awakening is the redux version. Pressing L+R allows to use a menu to change gameplay options and use save states.

I'm thinking of playing all three games for the first time... Does this ROM work well when emulating? Are there any bugs? Do the passwords for Ages and Seasons work normally? Are all 3 games playable from beginning to end?

By far, one of the most definitive ways to play the GBC Trilogy on the GBA!!
The VWF is also what makes more worthwhile to check out!!

Nope, i tried this myself and it didn’t enable the gba features. Even if you switch the setting to GBA it will not enable the GBA features
The gba "feature" is a shop that sells a gasha seed and two magic rings + brighter colors. Not much lost.

When equipped, these "special" GBA-exclusive rings have no in-game effect. They serve as a symbolic collector's item to prove you are playing on a Game Boy Advance. These comments make it seems like half the game is missing lol

Do the Oracle games even include the GBA features? Since it's running on a GBC emulator, and judging by the screenshots palettes, I guess not.

There are hacks that enable those features on GBC mode, but since they weren't mentioned I assume they're not included.

This only good gba flashcart users. Anything else is waste.

Some gbc games do not run properly on certain emulators, like Shantae and Ghost Babel.
Other games benefit from savestates.
For people with a gba micro, having the best version of a gbc game, making use of QoL hacks and packaged in a gba format may be useful, as it may be the only way to have it playable.

I have other gbc-to-gba packs converted, using QoL hacks that improve the games, some not found in the repo.

I'll refrain in posting them, as it seems that this kind of content can be considered "worthless", even though some people appreciate it.

Emulated or otherwise, it gives Link's Awakening DX the SGB border from the og GB version that I don't think is possible to enable in any other way. So that's pretty neat

This just seems a bit redundant imo, if you wanna play the games on a GBA, just get a flashcart with the GBC roms and if you're emulating, again just another reason to go with the og GBC roms instead

You literally have to use Goomba if you're using a Game Boy Micro.
It won't read GB/GBC carts otherwise.

That's Captain Kirk when he finally gets a notice for child support

Very cool hack I'm impressed with all the pallettes that are available. All the options in the left right button menu are really cool. Plus I love roms that have a built-in game selector.

Goomba Color has the option to report itself as a GBA so that GBA enhanced features like the one in Shantae and the Zelda games will work
Sure but like I said, when running on GBA mode they use different palettes. I'm not familiar with that emulator tho, so I'm not sure how that works.

But does it have an internal way of connecting the two Oracle games?
This is literally just the GBA homebrew GBC emulator Goomba Color as a GBA rom with three .gbc roms inserted into it. This post is worthless and doesn't really need to exist. For one you can do this same thing by using an EZ Flash Omega flashcart and you won't have to download Goomba Color since it's built in to it, so you'd use the actual gbc roms instead. Secondly why would you want to use a GBA emulator to run a GBC emulator homebrew? That's just gonna cause a performance drop when playing it since GBA emulators often don't play as smoothly as GBC centric emulators for GBC games anyway. Then on top of that you're emulating an emulator inside an emulator and Goomba Color isn't known for being super perfect anyways much less using it to play romhacked GBC roms. The save state features that Goomba Color has are redundant when using the GBA emulator anyway. You would be better off using a GBC emulator such as GBE+ or one of the cores in RetroArch to play the GBC roms of these instead of this. As this would just be a subpar experience of playing them.

And I don't like people who responded to me with memes, god damn meme culture...
That's especially stupid considering your username is literally an invitation to do that. If you feel like that about being replied to by memes then you should probably change it imo. MemeAlert sounds like a response to receiving a meme, so of course people are gonna send you memes.

Damn I thought for a second someone had decided to make the 3rd oracle game
And pack them together. I can deal with it, but some kind of hack or remake of the oracle games that doesn't require writing down passwords and instead does something like automatically unlock things in one game when you fulfill the conditions in the other would be sweet!

Cool pack
THanks.

Fun!
I'm actually playing thorough OoA rn.
