Yu-Gi-Oh!

Yu-Gi-Oh! Was the hottest thing aside from pokémon and Dragon Ball Z when I was a child, I remember the schoolyard matches, the anime airing daily on Canal 5, people claiming they got all the exodia cards, the pogs, the card holsters...
Actually the first time I got in trouble at school was when a redhead little brat stole my cards and I kind of um... pulled him by the hair when he was running so I managed to actually rip some of his hair out, I panicked and went running to an empty classroom and when I was dragged to her office the principal asked me if I really did rip his hair out all I did was put the red curly strands of hair on her desk while trying not to cry.
Preschool was fun.

Oh, this is my favorite card btw.
Did I ever get to use it in an actual match?
No.
I just think it's neat.

Well you can now! There's an entire deck based around him
It's just that you'd probably be using the newer updated version of him instead

I know there's some people that are returning to the game/new to it now thanks to the whole Blue Eyes thing, so here's a quick helpful PSA to those players:

New card alert
I really really really hope these will be accessible, I love synchro decks and these guys are so cute and powerful I want to play them right now... I'll be on Dueling Nexus testing these guys out...

First time I get to Master V. I'm happy!

Started with a Yubel Fiendsmith, switched to Snake-Eyes Fiendsmith because Yubel 1-card-combos are genuinally less strong and more susceptible to handtraps such as droll and lock bird

Snake Eyes Fiendsmith (with Azamina package) is MILES more resilient to handtraps. There were times where I could still make a respectable board after 2+ handtraps (not always, but consistent enough to make me run it). Also, the deck has a built-in mechanism where if you start with useless garbage such as Mulcharmy Fuwalos turn 1, you can dump it to turn it into a better card

I misplayed a LOT during early diamond, where actually competent players teached me through sheer violence my mistakes. Seeing players this good at this rank, I wonder how the heck some people say it's "easy" to reach Master Rank, you lose a fuckton of times to bad starting hand. Not the coinflip per se, I won a lot of times going second by handtrapping my opp to death, but at the same time I lost some games due to bricking going first, which is going to happen if you run an handtrap aggressive deck such as this one. Luckily, this amalgamation of 1 card combos makes it way less severe

Tearlaments players were the bane of my existence. I LOVE Tear, but its players have the innate ability to instantly mill a tear as first thing to happen in the turn, despite most of the deck being banned and limited to death.

I will never do this again, this was very time consuming LOL

Congratulations man, very impressive you put in all the time and effort, maybe we should duel some time? Favourite deck vs favourite deck of course

I used buster blade in the gba/ds games, because of the compressed tiny card artwork I thought his collar was his head and the horns were spikey hair

New cards alert
An entire retrain of Yuma's entire deck from Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal, and that new Utopic Future card is INSANE for Phantom Knights. Thank you for the PK support Konami.

(2) Your opponent’s monsters cannot target monsters for attacks, except this one, also your opponent cannot target other cards on the field with card effects.

As much as I loved the game when I was playing, unfortunately I find myself in that camp of "no matter how hard I try I just don't enjoy the game anymore." and have felt that way since roughly around 2017ish. Back when I was playing though, my favorite decks were probably Infernoids, Cyber Dragon, Blue-Eyes, Crystal Beasts, and Gravekeeper's. I also had a Bujin/Gladiator Beast/Fire Fist deck I was pretty fond of.

Crystal beasts can pull some crazy stuff nowadays.

Cyber Dragon is fairly good too in my opinion, feels like there's some untapped potential in that deck that could elevate it even further
A friend of mine started playing cyber dark but switched to cyber dragon after getting some proxys. When he started, he didn't win for shit and now, if you don't play your cards correctly, he will beat you down hard.

Proud of him. He came a long way.

Cyberdark is maybe the worst "sub archetype" in the game, it wasn't even a retrain it was just abysmally bad and it still is aside for Cyberdark Realm and Cyberdark Chimera which are two insanely good cards for the Cyber Dragon deck
But hey, we were all there once, I used to play Destiny HERO Doom Lord in my Destiny HERO deck because he looked cool. Sometimes you just have to move on... I'll always miss you, Doom Lord...

I'm excited for this set, I always love Battles of Legends sets and Crystal Revenge was in my opinion a really solid set
Hopefully this one will be good, unfortunately more Blue Eyes and Dark Magician reprints, whatever sells the most I guess

It's almost here folks, the card that saves every D tier rogue pet deck, but the card that also breaks and power boosts every meta deck so bad it's gonna be a nightmare until it gets limited
I say limited because we all know damn well they're not banning a brand new broken card

Seventh Tachyon is coming to Master Duel along side the new Blue Eyes stuff! Sorry I keep pushing this card so much, but after playing it in Boxers I can't even begin to imagine what unspeakable evil it will be used for in actual competitively viable decks.

The effect bas been revealed
It's pretty good, it's not insane or anything in my opinion but definitely worth running at 3 in a good chunk of Fusion decks going second. I think I'll maybe try this out in Destiny HERO as a side deck option.

HERO IS BACK BABY!
I like how I'm the only person posting on this thread now, oh well, maybe some day someone as autistically powerful as me for this card game will come along and it'll be like the scene in Yakuza 0 where Kiryu meets Majima for the first time at the end

I'm still fucked up that Kaiba literally used all of his money and technology to go see his boyfriend in the after life so he could play cards with him.

He's the best character honestly, he sent cards into space so that if there's any intelligent life out there let's teach them how to duel
Genius
